I love this store and the animals they have. However, I can’t stand the customer service. I have been in here several times to buy a hamster, and have left empty-handed each time. The employees follow you around the store, and make the experience awkward and annoying. I’m sure these employees are being trained to perform this way, as all of them do it. I have noticed I am not the only one experiencing this. I too have worked and managed retail, and I understand both sides. As a customer I do have to say it’s too much though. Checking in with me once or twice would be more than enough.

If you go and buy fish and plants there ask for Christine if she is working. Young woman with a ton of knowledge, always smiling and courteous. Went there twice this week and every time I asked her if she could help me she did so promptly and happily plus she genuinely knows the industry. It is always hit and miss going there. Christine is a definite asset to this place. Her fish bagging skills are second to none. Double bagged in a way they could not get stuck in the corners. Very impressive. A + service from Christine.

I don’t have any horrible experience with the staff like others say but I do have a problem with how they price their animals specifically their feathered friends and how they are majorly price gouging for sun conures. I could buy 4 2 for 1100 ferrets for the price of one sun conure that’s typically 600~800$ they are asking 2109$ How do they even justify that

Staff are very friendly and helpful love going to this pet store they try their best to help you especially if your pet has specific food allergies

It's over an hour drive out of way for me so I called ahead of time asking if they have a bird cage. I have asked for specific things, the lady on the phone said they have many different options and she cant look so I should just come. Well it turns out they had 2, one of which had too wide bar spacing so unsafe and completely useless and the other one had the type of sliding door I have specifically asked i dont want. So we spent 2 hours in the car just to walk in, see one that's completely not working and another one that's broken and we were told thats all they have... at least they had a boxed version of the broken one for a reasonable price, but it really got on my nerves that they lied and dragged us all the way there.

Today I randomly went to look for xxs clothing and supplements for my chihuahua puppy, since it’s hard to find his size as he’s so tiny. The guy who was at the reception seemed very weird. He followed me and my boyfriend around the store which I found to be very disrespectful. After not finding what I wanted, I found something else useful I could buy, I came up to the checkout desk and he sarcastically remarked, ‘finally found something to buy eh?’ He was offensive and rude I did not like how he interacted with me and my boyfriend. Poor customer service which made me feel super uncomfortable. Never coming back to this location. DO NOT recommend. Ignorant disrespectful staff. Buy your pet supplies from somewhere else.

Surprised at the poor attitude of several staff here. I saw them roll their eyes at customers and generally disrespectful in their approach to customer inquiries. At the till, the cashier made mistakes on all of the items I purchased: she missed the discounted sticker price even though I displayed it prominently when giving her the product overcharged by $16. I pointed out the sticker for a correction. She then guessed the bulk item I had in a bag $3.68 instead of $0.60 and I had to show her the name on my phone because I took a picture of before checking out. No acknowledgement or apology for overcharging by $20 and a gruff “cash or credit” at the end. Really poor impression that makes me not want to return. I recommend shopping at either Bone & Biscuit or Bosleys instead, they’re both just around the corner and have no problems when it comes to general customer service.

bought six pet rats from there at once, three males and three females and they seem to be good quality rodents from this location, ive been adopting them for years and have never had a sick rat yet. meanwhile other pet stores had no luck sadly. also i adopted 2 cats Jax now called Jack and Tessa 1 year ago. Tessa had a cold like sickness for the first 4 months but they gave us a few additional vet checkups and antibiotics for free at the clinic next door she had the flue before she arrived to Petland from the shelter she came from. both cats arrived from California within a couple weeks prior. eventually she got better and has been the sweetest girl in the whole world dainty, girly and cute meanwhile Jack is super handsome but a little devil lol.. both cats bonded instantly at the shelter they met at so we had to get both. they took to us, and their new home the first night we brought them home. they took over our beds and couch as if they lived here for years- which was awesome to see. its awesome coming home from work and getting hugs and kisses from them every night. i'll love these cats forever. i'm glad that my friend and I went there that day.

I have bought 3 birds from this location and every single one had died the day after. When the first died I thought that it was my fault and they ended up giving me another, which died from the same sickness. Back then they were nice about it and refunded us. However about a month ago i bought another bird from them I should have learned my lesson the first time and he ended up in the emergency vet the day after. He sadly passed. When I went back not only were they rude but they were insensitive and dismissive. I can't believe how I was treated that day and I can say that I will never go back to this location. Unless you want to be treated awfully I would not shop here. I would give zero stars if I could.
