Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

We had a party of 4 adults and went to perkins twice. Once for dinner and once for breakfast the following day.nnFor dinner we had the pot roast 9/10 it was very solid and tasty.nnSteak and eggs 7.5 the ketchup was added after! The steak was small, and the potatoes and eggs were a little bland but we'll cooked.nnThe BBQ burger 6/10 the burger was okay, fries were not the best.nnAnd the last item was a BLT sandwich with fries and gravy. 8.5/10. There was a solid amount of bacon, but the gravy was fatty.nnFor breakfast the next morning:n2 - scramblers 5.5/10 and 8/10 one individual really liked theirs, the other said it was greasy.nnA breakfast burger with fries 8/10. It was a very good burger, the egg and bacon in this burger was perfect.nnThe last item was a classic breakfast. 6/10 It comes with sausage, bacon, and a larger sausage that's cut in half. The larger sausage no one liked but the rest was good. Sunny side up eggs were cooked well.nnThe service was good and the restaurant was clean.nnThe overall I'd give the experience a 7/10

I ordered the fish and shrimp. The tilapia had a strong fish taste that left a drag in my mouth. The asparagus was very large, some stocks were quite chewy and were very bland on a taste scale. The shrimp, on the other hand, were quite tasty.

I really love their breakfast, pies, muffins and desserts. Hostess was nice, and waitstaff, had meatloaf, burger and fries. The breakfast really is the best thing going there.

5/13/25: Eggs Benedict - Hollandaise looked and tasted old/reheated, eggs were not poached but braised, the yolks were mostly stiff, the ham was overcooked, the english muffin was good and the hash browns were about perfect - pancakes are always good but small size and serving for the price.

Just ordered the Hibachi Grilled Shrimp Skillet on 6/15/2025 for take out. Very small portions. Had consumed the entire meal within just a few bites. I would not bother spending your money here.
