Penny's Hot Chicken

Pretty epic chicken sandwich. I got the penny classic and husband got the hot Mac. He got the spiciest and I look one level lesser. Fantastic flavors - the rub on the chicken is pretty epic. Wow! Next the portion is huge. So we set aside some chicken while finishing the burger portion. The bun is nice and soft and the slaw in mine was yummy. Overall, I think we found a reasonable and delicious no fuss Nashville fried chicken place right in the heart of downtown. Shout out to the manager who's incredibly friendly.

THE CHICKEN TENDERS WITH HONEY DIP IS EVERYTHING !! The chicken tenders here are huge, crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside! The honey dip goes perfectly with the tenders. But if you like a more creamy sauce def try the comeback sauce. I got the medium level spice and it wasn’t as hot as i expected. I tried the very hot spice level the next time i came by and i felt like it’s still tolerable so definitely go for the hottest option of you love spice! Also, ask for pickles on the side def makes it 10X better!! For the chicken sandwich option i would opt for the penny’s classic with extra pickles lolol and get the LOADED fries!!

I really liked my first Penny's Hot Chicken experience. The chicken sandwich is crispy and juicy with a bit of sweetness from the pickles and the comeback sauce tastes awesome. Tenders are a nice size, juicy and not overly breaded like some other places. If you have a high tolerance for heat like I do, get the spiciest heat level. It gives the chicken a nice kick but it's not mad spicy. Crinkle fries are nice, but we ordered the "animal style" and didn't get it which made me a little sad. I'm still giving Penny's five stars because I'm sure it'll be perfect next time.

Food that never disappoints when you need a good Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Quality has been consistent and always up to the mark on multiple visits with the only downside being the lack of seating with only one table next to the store. But overall; just for the food…. A lovely experience. Will be back hungry for more…

Delicious Nashville hot chicken sandwiches done right. Chicken thighs with a light crispy batter dipped and covered spices. Reasonably priced and food was prepared and seasoned well. One of the best chicken sandwiches in the city

Penny’s Hot Chicken is a new place that opened up in the area, and decided to check it out as the reviews give this place huge potential and I had very high hopes. The plus: I got the 3 piece chicken tenders combo and sandwich combo to try. I found the tenders were on the larger end and also quite juicy. The Penny’s Classic Sandwich is a very large portion of chicken which was cooked well, and the coleslaw and sauce was tasty on the sandwich. The negatives: I need to dock 2 stars here as I found the spice coating on top of the chicken very inconsistent on both the sandwich and on the tenders see picture of the tenders. As a result, there wasn’t too much flavour on much of the tenders, and one of my three tenders was coated more than the others. This resulted in very plain tasting chicken - keep in mind, if I wanted plain chicken, I would’ve gone to a non-hot chicken place! I ordered their so-called spiciest option - No Georgie! and was quite disappointed at the level of spice on it I did not find it super spicy given it’s their top level, and not sure whether this is attributed to the inconsistency in the spice coating, or the actual spices themselves. I am open to return to give them a second shot, but am hoping that management can establish more consistency with their most important ingredient - their chicken. 3 stars.

$10 for a chicken sandwich is usually a bit much for me, but here you are getting your money's worth. The giant piece of chicken was crispy and tender. The sauce was delicious. I was happy with mild spicy, heat lovers may be disappointed in the hotest spice offering. Make sure you get napkins since it'll be messy. I wish there was a washroom in the food hall, nowhere to wash your hands.

It’s big fat chicken Nashville sandwich. Nice crunchy chicken tender dipped in spicy oil and dusted with multiple level off spice. It goes well with sweet pickle and slaw. Definitely give it a try.Recommended dishesSandwiches, Coleslaw, Dippin' Sauce

We went here after seeing a tiktok about it and they did not disappoint! I honestly thought things would be very spicy so I went for the medium spicy while my boyfriend went for the Nashville hot but I tried both of them and they weren’t really that spicy, although both delicious! We got one sandwich platter with the nacho cheese dip and waffle fries and the chicken tenders combo that comes with pickles, coleslaw and a side so we can try most of everything on their menu and it was a great decision! The fried chicken pieces were very big and crispy and delicious. The waffles fries were not soggy at all and they were so good! We also got the comeback sauce and honestly it was reallyyyyy good. The chicken tenders were also soooo good! Everything is decently priced too. We both spent $30 something on all our food. We would definitely go back!!

Nice chicken, juicy and spicy. Ordered a 3 piece combo then actually got 4 pieces, staffs are super nice and friendly, definitely gonna come back again!
