Delicious spot serving truly authentic flavours of the Levant with a cool twist. Simply obsessed and already want to go back - our server was really welcoming and the food was perfect. We ordered the labneh and tried a couple of the sandwiches plus the falafel scotch egg genius. I loved everything, just try it all!
Stopped here for lunch a few weeks ago. What a wonderful experience, our waiter was so delightful, the food was fabulous, would highly recommend. I got the Hummus Bowl and enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
I got a hummus sandwich or wrap. It was good but the sandwich was very wet with sauces..only one side had all the Falafel. Other than that it was delicious. The staff was very pleasant. The place is nice and spacious if you sit and wait for your order. And the price was a bit higher than other for 1 wrap but then again it's a heavier wrap than other places!
What a fabulous vegetarian lunch we just enjoyed, from a fabulously sweet couple here. We shared the veggie combo for 2, plus ordered the falafel scotch egg pictured and a tahini pancake. Yeah it was way too much food, but having seen the pictures and reviews here, we came in pretty much wanting to try everything, and were not disappointed!!! First of all; walking in we were warmly greeted by the very welcoming Gene sorry if I misspelled, my friend! and a great atmosphere, including excellent music. He has a very natural ability to make people feel comfortable and well looked-after, without being overbearing at all. A nice chill dude, but also getting it done at the same time. Through friendly conversation he explained it was him and his partner running the place. She was doing the cooking, and they both delivered our sprawling order in tandem, with warmth and smiles. The food was absolutely delicious! Our first makali was a great new treat, and so satisfied now. Thanks you for the hospitality: you are wonderful, and we will definitely be back, Krista and Will
Came here for brunch, had the beef sandwich and the egg sandwich. Also tried the hummus dip and pancakes. Thought everything was fresh, tasty and great value for your money. We were stuffed at the end yep probably ordered too much as usual!
Discovered this place accidentally and was very impressed by the food and service! My husband and I ordered a daily special of grilled halloumi sandwich and a chicken shawarma. The food came quickly and tasted amazing. We then ordered a falafel scotch egg which looked and tasted awesome.
Amazing little gem in the Cabbage town area, with a very laid-back chilled atmosphere. The gentleman named Gene is a splendid host and definitely takes his time in running through the menu, because they do carry a few unique items on the menu. Definitely give the Falafel Sandwich a try as they fry them up quite nice with the insides still nice and fluffy. They don't go too crazy with the parsley like some other places and the flavor is just right where it isn't too earthey. Definitely helps that they used fresh veggies as the pita wrap doesn't end up as a mess of sauce everywhere. The Chef Special was this Harissa Fried Chicken between a pita bread. The chicken was fried nicely with a crunchy/crisp crust that wasn't overly greasy and the seasoning on the chicken wasn't too heavy. The Sauce they used had a nice quick with a bit of a tang to kind of balance everything out. Honestly for the price, it's a bargain if you need something made from scratch but you don't want to have a full on meal. Kind of like that small bite you crave when you don't want a full on meal. We also grabbed the Sausage Egg Mo'Muffin and if you are a fan of the Golden Arches version this is a much more cleaner approach to that same nostalgic sandwich. Definitely much prefer the Halal chicken that is used for the house-made sausage as oppose to the processed product that comes from your fast food chain. There was also a Tahini Pancake that is definitely worth giving a shot, unfortunately we ate all of it before we took a picture, however from memory it is a very nice light take on your traditional pancake. Much more lighter in texture and wonderfully paired with the Pistachio Whip and Cardamom Rose Syrup. They do offer some seasonal drinks that are worth checking out as well Definitely will be revisiting the spot and I hope for many people in Toronto to discover them as well, as they definitely have some delicious items up on thier menu.
Went here for lunch in the East end of the city Gerrard and sherbourne. Nice little place we a few indoor seats available. I got the shawarma bowl approx $17 before tax. The bowl was really good, good flavors and ratio of chicken to rice. The guy working the counter was really good at customer service. There was a line forming and people ordering were trying to figure out what to order. He remained calm and polite and didn't rush anyone. When it came to my turn to order he didn't rush me or get impatient. He also made lots of eye contact and acknowledged the people in the line. That is great customer service. You want someone to acknowledged and recognize your customers so they feel welcomed despite lines and waiting I had a good lunch, thanks guys!
Okay, but this place is super delicious. It was a random choice but we got takeaway and it was so tasty! I was initially drawn in by the falafel scotch egg. Even a good traditional scotch egg can be hard to find. So seeing two of my fav things together? Awesome. And it was just as good as the photo made it seem. We also tried the foul, shwarma bowl, beef sfeeha, makali, and tahini pancake. Everything was great. Variety of flavours and textures, and the pita are so soft and tasty. It was all very fresh, cooked perfectly, and a pleasure to eat. Very filing as well.
Got the meat combo for 2, cardamom rose latte, and heirloom tomato & halloumi sandwich - everything was amazing!! The pitas were so fluffy, yet hold up well with the hummus. Highly recommend the falafel sandwich. Can’t wait to come back to try the pancakes! :
