The place located on the side of broadway on Howe street. There is street parking all around the place. Some spots are free depending on the time and date and some are metered. The place itself is small and cozy with 4-5 tables to sit comfortably. We ordered dosa, paneer roll, spinach samosa and fried idly. We got set of 2 dosas per order and they tasted great. The idly were too crisp and felt like a little over fried but tasted great. The samosas tasted different and had the perfect amount of chat masala on the surface. Paneer roll felt like they were made with Kawan Parathas and lettuce bought in Store. Additionally, the best item we bought was probably the mango lassi. I asked the person at the store who mentioned they make and package it there itself with a pataka label. Do give the store a try and check if it suits you.
Loved the aloo paneer kati roll, pataka chat and the masal dosa. Its a small restaurant with 3 tables. Had an upbeat vibe. Very clean and well maintained. The dishes had a different taste than usual but were delicious.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
"EAT MOR VEGGIES!" This is an excellent vegetarian option that happens to be Indian! I loved Dosa here, which has no gluten but is all protein. I returned the next day for another one! Very addictive, so please be careful. Veggie balls were basically falafel but served in a bowl with other yummy stuff. Mango Laksa drink was a refreshing yogurt drink. Pataka Chaat was interesting, with chopped samosa, garbanzo beans, and some yogurt. Anyways, again, please picture a cow on a billboard sayin', "EAT MOR VEGGIES" This world would be a better place indeed, with less greenhouse gases for sure. Let's support this joint! By the way, every worker I encountered here was terrific, very upbeat and helpful! The prices here are almost unbeatable, too!
We entered this lovely place for a takeout and stayed to eat some really delicious food. Lot of vegan and gluten-free options, gorgeous colors and amazing tastes, a friendly staff, very good prices… We ordered a copious bowl and some fresh excellent dosas Indian crepes, before to order a refreshing vegan rice pudding topped with cinnamon. A great experience!
Super tasty food like dosa, authentic sambar, paneer platter with Tikka masala gravy, Kathi Roll with paneer and potato. Coconut masala gravy is better. Excellent ambience in this price. Must try the cardamom cheesecake ice cream - a rare Indian dessert. Can try the mango lassi mango with yogurt ! Very refreshing. Fried Idli - superb and cryspy, goes very well with the white sauce and ketchup. A must try item. Samosa Chaat - another must try. Very good and is as good as the best chaat in the town and much cheaper. Mango & Papaya Agua Fresca - no taste, please don't waste money on this.
The sliders and idli fries are amazing, definitely my favorite. Samosas are also very good, and they give out a variety of really tasty dipping sauces with everything. So many vegan options and everything is super well labeled. The food and service are great. My only complaint is that they do not have an accessible entrance. Given that they did a bunch of remodeling, I think it’s ridiculous to not put one in. Definitely sends a bad message.
I got the paneer and aloo Kati roll. So good!! Also just the right amount of food as I was comfortable but not stuffed.
First time here for take out. Really nice interior and the take out portions were generous. They give you a huge portion of curry/sauce to go with your bowl which is absolutely amazing. Will definitely be back!
The dosa and kathi roll are good. Masala dosa and plain dosa is very tasty and fresh. The kathi roll could have been better if the roll was made fresh. It tasted like the frozen paratha we get in the store. Masala inside the kathi roll was tasty though so 4*. And everything is sweet. Sambar, chutney etc.
Pataka - Means Firecrackers in Hindi, and this place is totally that, a good food packed with flavors kinda fireworks...Wanted to treat my friends to this place as I have ordered online many a times from here and have almost tried everything on the menu. Chose the dine-in option, the food comes in good portions for its price range along with Compostable serving ware. It's a vegetarian food joint with vegan options as well. The spice level is just mild enough to cater to all types of spice tolerant people. Lovely, Pink-White-Saffron themed decor with windows, that's good for the pictures hehe. It also has unisex restrooms with all the necessary Covid rules and precautions. Aloo-Paneer Kathi roll, Idli fries and Impossible meat bowl with half veggies and half rice plus tikka sauce are my favourites. The Teas from here are also very refreshing take on regular flavors. It is my go to restaurant, Must try!
