I have been here a couple of times. It is small but has a very cool decor especially the tables are very cute. They do have good indo-chinese options as well. I don’t think they have cocktails there!
Passed by this place many times and finally visited-no regrets!. Food is very flavorful. Portion sizes are good for the prices. Look forward to trying more of their dishes.Dine in: YesTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
I have been here for dinner on the new year eve around 7:30 p.m. The food was very delicious, no complaints about it. But the gratuity fee they have added for the bill was not fair. When we asked the person who was serving Ifram, says on the bill he said it’s the policy of the restaurant. When i have visited earlier I was told by the other person who was serving that the gratuity will be added if there are 4 or above. But today we were just 3 and they have added $13 gratuity on the total bill. I would like to tell the guy whoever was serving that kindly check in the menu and also google , the gratuity will be applied for the parties above 6 or more. Its given in your menu as well. Don’t try to fool your customers by talking about the policies of the restaurant. Take the tip when customers genuinely tip you for your service. Don’t add it according to you in the name of gratuity. Hoping that the owner would take action on this kind of mischievous acts.
Today we went to Lazeez , we are group of 4 members. We have ordered two appetizers and two main course. Food is 4/5. Even the ambience is also good. The most bad experience part of today is the management has charged 20% gratuity charge. As per norms gratuity charge is for either 6+ or 8+ guests. We didn’t even spilled out any food on the tables to pay gratuity charge. We have gone to premium lounge but never we got this gratuity charge for 4 members , but 20% of the bill as gratuity is really so high. Better avoid this. No student discount, no gratuity free… thank you Lazeez … for your kind information on your menu they gave as gratuity for 6 or more .. first try to read your menu
Clean place we found to try out. Very friendly and accommodating service. Food was good. From all the things one could say, I choose service to be the star of the place. Might go back.
Best Indian restaurant in Connecticut, period. I have tried and tried and endlessly searched an Indian place that is both high on ambience and taste and this ones does it. remarkable that this ones in New Haven as there is dearth of good Indian kitchens in all of Connecticut. This one is becoming a weekend staple!
The samosa salad is sooo good. The servers are super friendly and I asked to make all my food vegan and they were very accommodating. They also made my food extra spicy per request!
This place is so underrated! The food is genuinely so good. Their biryani is the best I’ve ever had. If you like heat, get the medium heat for a kick! Literally I think about their biryani all the time
Heard about its snack items so decided to give it a try- but it came out to be its not worth at all. Drums of haven chkn lollypop is not that great. Its just okay. Jhinga manchurian weren’t fresh when it got serve. Pattie in Ragada patties was under cooked.
Awesome food! Smells as food arrived were extraordinary more than your run of the mill Indian restaurant aromas. Naan was thin and a bit crispy not burned, raita was also a bit runnier than I’m used to. Tasted great but I would prefer it thicker then it’s easier to get it to stick to stuff. Gobi Manchurian was awesome medium was a bit too spicy for me but could have been a one off. Paneer in Paneer tikka masala was light and not chewy as it can be. My friend was GF and I’m vegetarian. Menu had one section with icons indicating these but other 5-6 sections of the menu did not and server was a bit unsure. Would be a big help if whole menu indicated what was GF and or V or VE so that person doesn’t have to feel like they have to have a big conversation about it. But lovely service and nice atmosphere.
