Everyone is so nice and professional. Great Service, great people. Grateful for these services and ease of use and access. nnHere’s my experience:nnI arrived at 8:30 when it opens. There was a line up already. Christian addressed the line with what we needed and answered questions. I forgot my forms and filled them out again in line, Al the security guard provided me a clipboard and a pen! So nice.nnBy 9am I got to Christine who vets paper work, photos and provides a queue number. This is a smart checkpoint so you’re not waiting and find out later that h you’re missing something or your passport photo is invalid for whatever reason.nnI waited another 45 minutes after that and then Shiba Nepal assisted me. Made sure everything was done correctly and made notes for my specific visit.nnAny passport office will have a wait. If you’re the first person in line you probably arrived well before they opened so you’re waiting. Come with some patience and you’ll have a great experience.
Wow! On Monday, early afternoon1:15 I went to Shoppers to get my passport photos and then immediately to this passport office in the mall right around the corner from Shopper’s. No line up outside. Between the line up inside and the wait for my number to be called I waited 1/2 hour. Then the same week, 4 days later on Friday my new passport was delivered by Canada Post. I am flabbergasted and very impressed with the efficiency and speed of this passport office.nWow! I had a renewal passport and the “simplified” form is simple. I got it online, downloaded to pdf form and filled it in easily. What a wonderful experience. Thank you very much to the staff at this location.
I had a great experience yesterday and I disagree with all the 1-Star Reviewers. This is a great location and the staff are kind and only doing their job based on their SOP's & workflow.nnIt's worth noting that this is the only eServices Canada location with a 10-day express passport option in London, ON. It's reasonable to anticipate that you'll be waiting 90 minutes, but it moves fast because there seemed to be 8 kiosks.nnI arrived on a Wednesday in February, it's winter and -16 outside, without an application at 3:25pm, but filled it out in-person, took my passport photos at Shoppers, and waited in line and was done by 4:00PM. They let me stay a little longer after closing time because I made a few mistakes on my application and had to add a few more details and I'm very grateful for their patience.nnI'd highly recommend going here, and I was told that the line was unusually short today - possibly due to the snowy and severe cold conditions. I was planning to be there to get more information and I'm blessed that I got everything done in 40-minutes. The security guards were kind to mention that typical wait times are at 60-90 minutes, even if you have a prefilled application with photos.nnHope this review helps someone make a better plan.
Efficiency Audit needs to be done in this location. When arriving at 230 I observed how slowly everyone was working. It took almost ten mins per person just to obtain a number to wait in another line up! I noticed how staff wait around between clients and even let clients go get new photos taken outside the passport office rather than taking another client during that time. This means multiple wickets are being held up for long periods of time.nInterestingly, at 3:15pm 45 mins before closing time the whole pace of the place completely changed! It was actually ridiculous and hilarious to watch. I saw a manager come up to the information desk where numbers are distributed and he told his staff that they need to get through the line up before closing. Somehow the previously 10+ mins conversations turned into 1 minute or less per person.nSo they are completely capable of working more efficiently but they have no incentive to until closing time so they don’t!nThe worst part is that there are people with babies and small children and people with disabilities also being forced to wait around for hours. The whole vibe of the place is negative and people are so frustrated with how the staff are “working”.
This passport center is beyond frustrating. I signed the picture as a guarantor, and they denied it—now I have to go in person just to confirm it’s my own signature. Who would even lie about that? Born and raised in Canada, yet I still have to jump through hoops. I have so many other things to do, and now I’m wasting time on this nonsense. I truly hope these agents get the karma they deserve because this level of incompetence is ridiculous.
