I’ve been coming to this place before I hit double digits in age, and when it was Ron that was running the place and named after him! A true gem in Scarborough, even Toronto for that matter. Tucked away in the basement of an assuming bookstore in an even more unassuming plaza. The Comic Room has always been a wonderfully pleasant experience. Want some peace and quiet while perusing the myriad of comics and graphic novels they have to offer? Then this is place during the weekdays! Want to feel the hustle and bustle and excitement of a new comic being placed on the shelves? Then go in on a Saturday morning! Despite the place being a bit small and compact.. it’s organized really quite well and still has some great classics! Not to mention some of the great promotions you’ll find whenever a new superhero movie releases! I have always been treated fairly and professionally here, they have always taken care of me. Besides my house being a hop skip away for so many years.. this is my second home. And I’ll never forget Ron showing me how to pick up a comic and place it back properly.. something I always ensure I do, even to this day.

I had the pleasure of walking into this store to purchase some comic books for a school library. The gentleman that was there's definitely knew his stuff and directed me towards a selection of some kid-friendly comics. He was extremely helpful and even offered me a discount for the school! FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!

I love this store for it's large assortment of gently used books. The Comic room in the basement is also a neat place to check out. Super friendly & helpful staff. I highly recommend!

I was so happy to find a local comic shop near me in Scarborough. They have a bigger selection of older stuff than you'd first expect, and I swear half the time I go in there's some sort of sale going on. The staff are also super nice.

I've been going to the Paperback Exchange/Comic Room for decades now. The staff are friendly, the selection great, and there's always a deal to be had, whether you're looking for a used paperback book, or the latest issue of Batman! It's one of Scarborough's best kept secrets, so be sure to check it out if you're into all things geeky...! ;)
