I walked by this place 2 times because I was looking for old stuff not sold in normal stores anymore.nnThe second time I saw some guy donating items. And he took out some kid stroller. The guy handling the donations rejected it. Saying they didn’t take those. Then the guy asked why. I had walked off.nnHowever, to reject a donation is such a joke. Little needs to be said but this isn’t the 2000s anymore or Goodwill.nnI think their items are often more expensive than Amazon or eBay. And their items are donated and used.
This is the closest one to where I live so I’m not new to it. Had the worst experience yesterday and it was with the manager. I mean, if you have zero customer service skills why put this individual at the forefront? Asked for assistance when my coupon got flagged and she already had the attitude when I summoned her. Then she comes and tells me the coupon is not valid yet. That was all she couldn’t say in proper polite terms. She legit told me ‘to read’. Absolutely obnoxious, this fellow. I have been tended to by very courteous employees there. I mean if you don’t like your job, rest. I was about to make this review when I saw the previous one about a manger and I am 100% sure it’s the same lady. The tall dark one. Now I even see her photo on another reviewer. Nobody deserves to be spoken to like that. Not even a child. Transferring aggression and acting up as if you’re on Wall Street.
I’ve gone to this value village many times. Over the last several months the prices have increased so much it’s almost not worth going. Recently I went with my girlfriend and the security guard accused her of stealing even after a receipt was shown and all items accounted for totalling almost $60. He also touched her arm and her bag. After several minutes of showing the receipt he finally let us go without apologizing. He was very rude. Clearly he needs more training on how to talk to customers.
This is a large Value village! I'm only giving 3 stars because things are very over priced here now. I did find a very good coffee maker for 14.99 and their selection of cd's and dvds is the biggest I've seen at a Value Village in a long time. My girlfriend bought a couple of bags of towels for 5.99 which I thought was fair. I loathe the self check out though. Always seems to be a problem at the self check out....
Not my go to spot to thrift but i stop by here sometimes.nnVery spacious and many aisle to go through with a lot of opportunities to find some hidden gems.nnValue Village’s pricing have been sky rocking but this location has some pretty fair pricing sometimes.nnThe one thing that i find annoying is that they do not have a self checkout as yet and the lines are huge.nnOverall, pretty good spot to thrift. Here are a few of my favourite finds from there!
