Initially was very excited to try this place based on many great reviews here. But, after trying the eggplant sandwich, I was extremely disappointed. They missed the mark on even the most basic step of frying the batter all the way through. See the picture below; this is liquid batter!  I feel sick just writing this review.

Truly recommend ignoring the low reviews. The owner is the most wholesome person who genuinely cares about his customers.  Affordable. Tasty. Great portion!  This place has been here for 30 years and it’s an absolute hidden gem. Eggplant parm is phenomenal and the cookies are a great addition!

This the real deal Italian sandwich shop! I had a breaded chicken sandwich with peppers and mushrooms on a proper bun with a nice crust. The gentleman preparing the chicken for my sandwich convinced me to have the hot sauce with it. I've got to say, this was an excellent Italian sandwich, made to order in an authentic old school typed shop. I finished off the meal with a nice homemade cookie and washed it all down with a Brio.  Thanks guys! I definitely recommend and I'll certainly be back! Keep up the good work!

What a great find. I love finding small family run restaurants and this one is a gem.  We had veal sandwiches and their famous chicken sandwich. Everything was prepared fresh and was amazing. This is a dream of a family-owned sandwich shop. Superior quality ingredients, everything prepared in front of you, and very friendly people. The food is excellent. It is mostly for take away but there are one or two picnic tables in front of the shop. If you are living in or visiting Toronto, I highly recommend that you try the sandwiches and cookies in this shop.

Super nice people. Sandwich was ok: Bread was good. Veal was a little tough, and things were a little salty for my taste but I do like salt less than other people, so probably fine for most folks.

The sandwiches are the best in the city.  Truly mouth watering food.  The owners are so incredibly friendly and inviting, we would go back just to visit them!

Hands down Best Italian sandwiches' in town,  owners are very personable and great to chat with. Whenever I'm in the area I always take time to stop by :.

I must say this is a very clean establishment, the cook area is in the open which gives me a sense of security on food quality btw the food tastes amazing. We  were on a job site for 3 days and we came here every day for breakfast. The food is very delicious. Everything on the menu is amazing. Highly recommend this spot to anyone.
