Papa Sam's Restaurant

Really disappointed with the take out food. I ordered a large Papa Sam's special with suicide wings and a Greek salad. The pizza tasted and looked like it was sitting out on a counter for a few hours. The wings were way overcooked, dried out, no sauce and not hot or suicide at all. The Greek salad was a sloppy mess of old leaf lettuce with really rancid oil. It has been many years since coworkers and I used to eat there for lunch in Kanata and it used to be great. Will not be returning and recommend choosing another restaurant for a Friday night take out!

Decent place with very nice service. Good beer and nice atmosphere. Ordered steak, it wasn't what I expected- same name different food- but besides the taste of the sauce too much too sour. It was good. The salad was the best in the whole meal.

We went for ice-cream - great selection! Papa Sam was super sweet and gave our son his first tasting of ice cream!!! Will be back many more times this summer!

I honestly haven't eaten there in well over 10 years, but their pizza is just as good as what I remembered. The crust is soft and just the right thickness. The ingredients are fresh and just the right amount of saltiness.

It was okay. Pretty run down and dark inside. The pizza was overcooked and salad was far to heavily dressed. I can see the appeal if you were a regular, but as a first time patron, I probably won't be back.

They listed the price on UberEats at $19.50 for a plain cheese pizza and adjusted the price after I ordered to $27.50.. when we called in to ask why we were charged the extra $4.00 or so they told us they changed the prices of their pizzas and it hasn’t updated on Uber eats yet and went on crying about how they aren’t able to compete with the original low price. Con artists.

Very disappointing. It's too bad; they used to be very good. Dried out, over-cooked, tiny wings. Pizza with crust paper-thin that looked old....like we got a leftover one from the lunch hour.. Salad with the the lettuce stem in it and very few veggies for a Greek salad. At least they used real kalamata olives and not canned. I'll give them that.

I'm not from around here and it's my first time trying this pizza and I must say it is absolutely amazing the cheese the homemade crust and sauce is absolutely incredible. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I think it's so important to support local eateries especially when they're as good as this. What a jem!

While the store front says pizza, don't limit your selection to that. I called ahead for takeout and when I arrived at the allotted time the food was just coming out. Now that is a well run kitchen! As for the food, had soup and sandwich and it was amazing. The soup of the day was chicken noodle but with their spin on it, by far the best chicken noodle I've had in years. Looking forward to sampling more options from the menu.

Papa Sams has been a go to for many years while I’ve worked in Kanata! Great pizzas fresh everything! The crust is fantastic here! I always ask for my pizza well done! All the staff are fantastic! I can’t wait till some normal returns and we can return to lunches there!
