Paddler's Inn

We have used Paddler’s Inn as a destination to support our multi-day kayaking trips. Each time we enjoyed our visit. Transportation in and out of the Broughton’s by the Paddler’s Inn staff is a real treat! We felt safe on the journey and the process was professionally done. My advice is to take advantage of this unique experience on the west coast. We did, and it is now a memory for life.

I stayed at the Paddlers Inn in the summer of 2017. I could not believe what was available from this quaint resort. You can sea kayak directly into the Broughton Archipelago, trek to a small lake on a well tread wilderness trail, visit Echo Bay and Billy Proctor in an afternoon and end your day, like I did with a massage and a glass of wine. I stayed in the private cabin on the floats but you can bring the family and stay in the cottage accommodation on land. Groups can us that larger float house that you first see when you arrive a solid wharf. Water taxis visit regularly and the Burdwood Island are within a hours paddle of the Paddlers Inn. What I really liked was that I felt I had my privacy in the company of some fifteen other folks who were staying at the resort. This was a unique experience I hope to repeat with friends.

It's just such an odd and magical place to stay: floating on the water of an inlet of an island far from any significant city or town. I was there for a night as part of a multi-day sea-kayaking trip around the archipelago, so I am not familiar with the ways other folks would make use of the place. But the owners DO have a "honeymoon cottage" on the premises!

Paddler's Inn is a fantastic little business run by an amazing couple. Great location, it feels like your own private bay. Hope to come back again!
