You have to try Pablo’s cheese tarts! The crust is delicate but at the same time not messy to eat or crumbly. The fillings are so smooth and creamy. Not overly sweet. Everything is perfectly balanced. They’re also super appealing to the eye. So much attention to detail! Hard to pick a favourite but if I had to, I’d go for the white chocolate raspberry.
This place is a wonderful mid-shop stop or mid-bike stop, as it was for me during your time on Whyte. The tarts are so decadent, yet not overly sweet. They crust is flaky and soft, but with enough texture to nicely complement the creamy smoothness of the filling. We had the original, the peach, and the white chocolate raspberry. The original was so delightfully cheesy, while the other two had crisp bright cuts of fruit to mingle with the velvety centre. The fruit ones had a but less of a cheesy and more creamy filling. Several tables are available in the store as well as a gender neutral washroom. There is a drink and tart combo for a nice snack, as well as multiple tart deals if you want to take them away for an event or party which I 100% recommend.
Pablo brings the delicious cheese tarts to Edmonton. Beautiful creative fillings held within sumptuous crumbly crusts. Pablo is in a neighborhood on the east side of the tracks off Whyte and is an essential establishment in the revival and Renaissance of this older area. I often come here for a tart and then I head off to one of many coffee spots in Edmonton for a lovely pairing. Love Pablo! 5x
Great tarts, absolutely delicious! Classic tart in its perfection. Drinks are great too, try the Pablo special and chocolate smoothie. Recommend buying the mini box, having some coffee in the afternoon is a bliss. Worth the price
Edmonton coffee pass stop number… I’ve lost count. Great cheese tarts! We tried mango, almond chocolate marshmallow, and cinnamon apple - all were fantastic. And instead of coffee, we had to try the house Special cheese tart smoothie. The kids were a huge fan. Coming back to try the crème brûlée tart!
A extremely popular and hyped Osaka-based bakery , Pablo is essentially in a league of its own. Its egg tarts think fusion of a Portuguese egg tart and a ethereally creamy cheese cake are innovative in their flavors and textures. For instance, their matcha tarts consist of red bean and mochi suspended in a delightful egg tart-cheese cake custard, while encased by the crispiest and crunchiest of crust. I don’t think I can look at cheese cake or egg tarts the same again after this
We got 6 mini tarts, approximately $25. The presentation is good and the tart is cute. We got original, tiramisu, pineapple, strawberry and matcha. I would prefer the crust less sweet and thinner. I like the original most among all the five flavor. Will try the big one next time.
Love love love this place! Tarts are very tasty. I really liked the mini tart and the cheese cake and holy cow the smoothie was soo good. It was small and I got a little disappointed but the liquid is dense with cream cheese and very tasty.
I've had their tarts before and was pleasantly surprised! Not quite as cheesecake-like as I expected but very delicious. This time I went for ice cream. It was also great!
Kind staff and delicious tarts, their classic cheese tart smoothie is to die for; very light and not too sweet. Worth the price & better deal on a box of 6! Only thing is it’s a bit chilly sitting inside during winter but otherwise cute little shop.
