Horrible experience, our garage door hasn’t worked for over a month since they came to install new openers. They chipped our brand new floor coating by not caring and dropping metal pieces on floor!!!!!!!!!! Still not fixed and water coming into our garage from the massive gap under since they don’t know what they are doing! Poor poor customer service. AVOID
I highly recommend this company they came very quickly to fix our garage door. Steven was the technician that came out and he was polite efficient and extremely knowledgeable he worked hard and thoroughly. The price was very reasonable for such great service.
I phoned and booked an appointment two weeks ago for October 25, 2022, between Noon and 4PM, because I was advised that was the first one available. I phoned early in the afternoon of October 25 to confirm the appointment and was assured by Arra ? that a repair person would be at my home before 4 PM. When I phoned back shortly after 4 PM, the same person I had spoken to earlier told me that there was no appointment booked for my property and that no one would be coming to my residence. She then asked me if I would like to have someone come to my home between Noon and 4 PM the next day, even though she knew that I had been waiting for four hours for one of their staff to arrive.When I asked to speak to the manager I was advised that she had left for the day at 4 PM. What is there to say - shoddy, incompetent, non-responsive interactions, with no suggestion of an apology for any inconvenience, and no concern whatsoever for their complete lack of efficiency and non-existent customer service. I will never contact Overhead Door Company of Edmonton for any future service that may be required. I phoned another company and was advised that a staff member would be contacting me to arrange a time to do the necessary repairs as soon as possible. I would expect a company that has been in business for 55 years to do a better job than was done with me.
LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR GARAGE DOOR SERVICES Our garage door was purchased and installed by Overhead Door through our builder. Our door has been serviced twice by Overhead in the last 10 years. On Sunday our door came off the rails. They came out for a fee of $275 + $15 supply fee + gst = $304.50. If any work was to be done it would be an additional $190/hr. The technician was in and out with my husbands help within 20 min. He said there was no resolution, we had to purchase a new door. He snapped off the hinges, my husband helped him stack the panels, we paid him and we were told Sales would call us on Monday with pricing for a new door. It's Tuesday today and Sales hasn't called us yet. A local family owned garage door business was recommend to us by one of our family members. We called them on Sunday as well but unfortunately they called us 30 minutes after Overhead. As kind, courteous and understanding consumers we did not want to cancel the repair request from Overhead. If it was today, I would have no remorse. On Monday, the family owned business professionally repaired our door giving us some time to consider having to purchase a new door. It has never sounded better, it's fully functional and we were charged $189. If they came on Sunday they wouldn't have charged us any additional amount for coming out on the weekend. If they couldn't repair it that day they would've stacked the panels and come out the next day to repair it for no extra charge. If you're looking for maintenance, repair or a new garage door, google for other businesses. Now that I've googled the ratings hold true. Who knows maybe Overhead might want to start saving their business and try to repair their reputation with their customers.
Horrible & Worst ever services ever experienced from booking of an appointment to repair. Extremely arrogant and non professional technician who left the door opend without doing anything and when informed the office regarding it there was indifferent attitude was displayed. The worst part of all this experience is that despite being paid for everything they send your name for collection which shows how pathatic non professional approach this compny carries. Highly suggestive to try someone else to avoid horrible nightmere aviable with this company.
We purchased and took services of this company for new garage door opener. Product installed has been having issues for couple of years and company is unable to fix it professionally. There is no concept of customer service.
they don't accept new customer. their respond time is very late. January 6 2023, I requested a site visit for a commercial place and replace the whole door with 12 remote opener, but they don't even bother to visit the site even 4 days past. I follow up on January 11, 20223 they said they are so busy. So don't waste your time with this company. there are lots of other professional company around. never recommended.
Contacted them about paint peeling.. See photos.. Lasted less than 3 years. Out of warranty so they wouldn't do anything. That's ok.. But when i asked about getting a backup battery for my opener they were clueless. They didn't have my correct opener model in their file even though they did our install. I sent them photos of my opener. They said they could special order a battery but wouldn't guarantee it would work, i wouldn't be able to return it, and they charge $180 + gst. A five minute search on Google and I found the correct battery shipped to my door from the US for $135 Canadian shipping included. I would love to support local business but this level of incompetence is unconscionable. Had much better luck with creative door at my last house.
We had Scott come by to service our garage door which we were hoping we wouldn't have to replace altogether. He quickly diagnosed what to do and then got the job done! He was super pleasant and lovely to have. Thanks so much for having such great employees :
to keep short , stay away . if u have to deal with them always take a copy of what they write . I was talked into changing the segment as it will look better and was "beyond repair" and they will straighten the rails on TOP . it turned out they brought the same segment missing some paint as it chipped off the top the car still damage signs on it and MISSING the Long support part cause was beyond repair ?? . been more than 1 year . called many times opened claims, sent pictures , polite on the phone but never keep their word and NOT TRUST WORTHY , Stay away if u can .
