I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Ms. Deirdre O’Callaghan, the former principal of Saint Joseph Elementary School and the current principal of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. As a parent of two children at Saint Joseph, I saw firsthand the care and organization she brought to the school. Even though my English is not very good and I haven't been very involved, the growth of my children and the school's nurturing environment are clear to me.nnOn their first day, Ms. O'Callaghan greeted my children by name, showing how much she cares for each child. Every morning, she welcomed them with a smile, creating a warm and safe atmosphere.nnIn 2022, my son, who attended kindergarten for only three months, was involved in an incident at school. One of the children wanted to stop the game, but my son and the other children did not listen. After learning about the situation, Ms. O'Callaghan emailed all the parents of the children involved, explained how she addressed the matter, and educated the children on respect and kindness. Afterward, my son recognized his behaviour and apologized, which showed me the values being instilled at Saint Joseph.nnI am deeply grateful that my children had the opportunity to be at Saint Joseph under her leadership, where they learned not only academics but also kindness and respect. Caring and respect are extremely important to my family, and this was the main reason we decided to send our children to this school after carefully observing schools in Vancouver.
I've been their since I was 3 I think. It's and awesome school with alot of help and it's easy to report an incident or get to know people. Overall I really enjoyed my time there as I graduated this year and moved onto highschool.
I have been at this school since kindergarten, and it was a good experience. I had lots of fun making friends, learning with others, and attending the amazing events that this school held. During my time at this school, me and all of my classmates became one big family. Some teachers were good, while others were not as great. Overall, this is a W school.
Amazing school! My daughter's been here for 3 years now, and it's great! The staff are all so dedicated and the students here are amazing! In addition, there's a great community here that's very tight. I recommend this school if you're looking for a catholic school from Pre-K to 7. Great location as well-it's like a soup. There are also clubs and different things children can get involved too, as well as adult-only things, like the annual Gala. Great teachers and community, amazing peers and students, good location, there's plenty of good things to say about this school!
I just graduated from this school this year. Some teachers were amazing and others were iffy. Grade 7 was for sure the best year of my olph experience. Especially being able to go camping, and celebrating with my friends.
