Onkar Foods & Spices

Onkar has the best veggie Samosas in the CKW area. They’re much bigger and affordable than other samosas you find elsewhere. Definitely worth trying! They also carry samosas with noodle fillings, it was a one and done thing for me so buy at your own discretion. nThe Bedanas and Dodhas fully brown milk cakes with mixed nuts are my favourite of the sweets they carry but I’ve tried most of the other sweets and all are pretty good nIt’s an Indian/Desi food focused store. They have a little bit of everything from fresh produce, dried good, fresh and frozen food, beverages and even clothing. The other store in Waterloo even had starter plants for gardens. All in all, a wonderful store to visit.. though the mix smell of the spices can be a bit overwhelming sometimes but won’t stop me from visiting over and over~

The cashier of this store is very rude…. When i asked for napkins she said instead of that you can use paper towel and she gave just a little paper for 3 peoplennVery rude , not so professionalnnFor 3-4 napkins their bussiness is not gonna get affectednnWorst customer service ever seen with punjabi owner

The staff member at the samosa counter, an auntie in a black top and blue jeans, was quite rude during my visit. Instead of the usual friendly service, I encountered dismissive responses and a lack of patience.nnIt's disheartening when customer service falls short, especially in a place known for its delicious offerings. I hopenthe management addresses this behavior, as it can greatly impact the overall experience for customers.nnI look forward to a more pleasant visit in the future, as the food and spices are wonderful!

As plenty of other people have mentioned, samosas are great at this place. However, they do not provide chutney even if you order in large number. My only feedback is at least provide 1 or 2 chutney packets with let's say minimum order of 4 samosas.

The Store was open on January 1 from 12PM-6 PM.nI made a visit and reached at 5:57 PM and saw the operational time at Front Door.nThe store was locked 3 minutes prior to the posted closing time.nRevisit some day,not a problem.nBut the customer service and business ethics are defined by this act.nThe owner and the staff were aware that I am on the door and even the owner was present but they refused to entertain.nIf someone has travelled a distance assuming the store open and reach the store 3-4 minutes,before closing time,it's the owner's/ staff's prime duty to entertain.nBut the owner was engrossed in counting cash and never bothered to honour the closing time stipulation.nPathetic ethos,as a human and a businessman.
