One North Kitchen & Bar

I had a party of 10 attend a pre-opera dinner, they wouldn’t accommodate us when we said we needed to switch to a lower sitting table for one of the older ladies with us with hip issues. The food was ok, not amazing, the steak was burnt and overcooked. The prices were decent for the Chicago area. It is a good location right across the street from the lyric opera so we didn’t need to do much walking to the theater. The waiter could’ve been more professional.

Nice modern restaurant, but terrible food. Disappointed in a restaurant with food so bland and flavorless in the heart of downtown Chicago. Had a Caesar salad I know, not the best dish to get, but they still got it all wrong and the lettuce was not fresh at all, it didn't fill crunchy. The chicken tasted completely microwaved and processed. I was surprised when I saw the restaurant swears by their Non GMO meats, but that chicken definitely tasted like the frozen Tyson chicken you get from the grocery store. Their "homemade" Caesar dressing tasted bland; a store-bought dressing from Walmart has more flavor than that. Terribly disappointed in this place and surprised people eat this kind of food in Chicago. The servers were extremely nice and professional. I had a good service thanks to them and they're not to blame for the food.

HIGH RECOMMEND! Love coming to One North! The food is consistently good, the drinks are just right and the staff is so friendly. I come to Chicago for work once a quarter and I know I can depend on excellent service every single time.

Went here prior to Joffrey Ballet and was nice and convenient. The food/drinks were good but the ambience felt a little like a cafeteria. Need to dim lights a little more and have better music.

Professional, courteous and friendly staff combined with delicious and wonderfully prepared food makes One North Kitchen & Bar a great choice. The bar created perfectly made cocktails so One North Kitchen & Bar is also an ideal spot to have a drink. They have a large bar with a clean, comfortable and kewl atmosphere.Food: 5/5

Really lovely place to eat before the Lyric Opera. Service was awesome and very attentive. Great drinks and interesting cocktails on the menu! The risotto was delicious. We are subscribers at Lyric and will be back! Vegetarian options: My mom had the chef's choice veggie dish and it was delicious.

This was our 3rd time here in this place because they have buratta but our order this time has a lot of carcinogens! The bread that comes with the buratta was burned! The patty was burned and not well cooked in the middle I requested medium well. The bread that comes with the buratta was burned, so we requested a new slice of bread because we couldn't enjoy the buratta cheese appetizer if all you got to taste was carcinogens! The service was good. Waiters and the bar tender was very nice. The grilled cheese we ordered was delicious they didn't burn that one. We sat by the bar and the Atmosphere there was classy and sporty as you got to watch soccer games in tv. Everything would have been perfect yesterday if the food was not burned. We don't like to pay and all we got to eat was carcinogens or burned food which is bad for you by the way because it can cause cancer. Please see attached pictures.

We absolutely love this restaurant! We have been there many times. We usually sit out on the patio with our dog. The staff, from the chef to the wait staff are all friendly and very attentive. If you are looking for a awesome happy hour or drinks and a meal before a show, this is the place to go! Good prices, lots of choices and really good food! I rarely write reviews, but this place has it all!

Felt that the price was a little higher than the usual but the food was great. They have a pretty big area of outdoor seating which is great for those nice summer evenings. As it's in the loop, it would make a great spot to have lunch with your teammates and catch up. Really liked their dessert brownie ice cream with pecans! Yumm
