All the food was very good. Waitress service was good. But it took forever to get our mains ! 4 adults and 4 kids on family day. Didn’t order appetizers except fries for table. 2 kids got their food ASAP and it was delicious. The other 2 got their food with the adults.... which was 45 min to an hr after ordering. Manager acknowledged issue and apologized, but it shouldn’t happen at these price points. They get a lot of kids. A 630 res is mainly to get kids fed before they crash. In this case, 1 kid didn’t eat at all because it was so late and she crashed before food came. I’d go back with adults only because food was good compared to other places in the village. Not that it’s justifying the long wait at o&b, but all 3 restaurant meals we had in the village on family day weekend were crazy long waits for food. Seems like none of the restaurants in the village were properly staffed in the kitchen even though they were properly staffed in the front.

My wife and I stayed at the Westin @ Blue Mountain for our first 48 vacation alone since the birth of our son. Our first dinner was at Oliver Bonacini Blue Mountain and was a terrible experience. We walked in without a reservation, but feeling pretty good as less than 25% of the tables were occupied at around 6:15pm. Instead, we were told that as a walk-in, we could only be seated at one of three tables. Each of those three tables was against a large window and near the poorly insulated emergency exit. Between the draft and the cold glass, within moments of sitting down my wife was shivering. We asked to be re-seated and were told by the waitress that they cannot sit people where they want. The general manager was then called over. He moved us to a table that was directly next to the row they originally tried to seat us and was perhaps 3 degrees warmer. General manager insisted that every table at the restaurant was reserved all night and that is why we couldn't possibly be sat anywhere else. 90 minutes later as we finished a frigid dinner (decent if unoriginal food) around 7:45pm, perhaps 50% of the restaurant was occupied. We then asked another manager (woman w/ curly blond hair) why the policy against seating people where they ask to be seated and why we couldn't have been sat somewhere warm and pleasant. This is where customer service and appreciation went entirely off the rails. The manager we spoke w/ pointed out many things, some highlights follow: (1) we are "only a walk in" and they were booked for the whole night, we should feel lucky that we were allowed to sit at any table, (2) despite all the empty tables, she insisted that those people must all be late so they were right to deny us any other table, (3) their computer system makes it too challenging to allow people to pick their own table, they must be given the table they are assigned in advance - which apparently I would have known if I ever worked in a restaurant (I worked at a restaurant for 3 years and would have been fired if I ever treated anyone like the GM and this manager treated me), and (4) she pointed out that if they tried to seat anyone who made a reservation at the table where they sat us, that would make the reservation feel angry w/ the restaurant. After pointing out the empty tables and that their response was not making us feel better, blond manager said, and I quote, "you're just saying the same thing again, this isn't going to make the situation any better, so I'm going to leave now" and walked off. Some suggestions: fix the three tables that are frigid cold so that anyone who dines at your restaurant and pays for the food gets a decent experience. Also, learn to accommodate customer requests, treat everyone (walk in or reservation) w/ the same respect, and don't rest on your laurels as one of only a few restaurant selections in the Blue Mountain village. There was an easy fix here to keep us warm and happy w/out actually impacting any other table or reservation, and it would have avoided this review and my need to write it.

Decided to go with the prefix menu, we both had the potato and cheese pierogies to start with. Quite good actually. We ordered off the menu for a starter, truffle and cheese french fries, the fries were cooked very well, nice and crunchy on the outside and very soft and warm on the inside. I had the chicken main also very good and my wife had the Catfish. What stood out the most was the very attentive server, not too attentive but seemed to always be on top of everything. Even let me bring my own hot sauce the table! All in all would highly recommend it and will go back again.

Me and my family were at Oliver & Bonacini during the Christmas eve and had a fantastic night. Our waiter was fantastic and pleasant with the kids, doing magic tricks. The food was great, my steak was delicios, everything was perfect. The atmosphere is beatiful, cozy and charm. Good for dinner with family and friends.
