A huge shoutout to Roman, Amy L, and Sydney for a great experience at Old Vines. The wine is great, cocktails were really good trust me and the atmosphere was perfect. Great views of the winery and Okanagan. The oysters were delicious, the greens, the warm olives…espresso martini is so good!!!
I had the opportunity to visit twice during my vacation to Kelowna. One time for their happy hour and the other time as dinner. Their happy hour menu give you a good sample of their food and wine but things add up pretty fast in terms of costs. I didn't expect to pay $80+ for happy hour. Just be warned. The happy hour food was very good. All the sauces were very well done. For dinner, I had the tasting menu while my partner order individual dishes. I would say that I was more impressed with their appetizers and dessert than the mains. I'm not saying the mains werent tasty but just wasn't quite as tasty as expected. Didn't wow me ... I have been spoiled by being a patron to many fine dining experiences... I would say their service is good overall. I would recommend trying the restaurant out.
Best dining experience in Kelowna winery! The food was so great. The staffs are super friendly. I enjoyed the beautiful views while having my lunch.
Booked a date with my fiancee at the Old Vines Restaurant and was very impressed. The atmosphere, location, service, wine selection, and food preparation were all 5/5. The ribeye and spiced apple dolce bread pudding were fantastic. Will definitely be going back in the future.Food: 5/5
I came for my birthday celebration yet it was a disappointing meal. My friends and I ordered mains and they tasted not bad but the portions were so small for the price. We also ordered the shrimp appetizer the one in the picture. The shrimps have no taste and I mean we paid 19 dollars for 5 small shrimps and some fruits. My server was unfriendly and cold so I don't think we are coming back. It's a price for fine-dining but the service and experience is not up to the fine-dining standard.
Absolutely the best dining experience I had on a 4 day trip to Kelowna with the family. The quality of the food is superb and in comparison to what you spend in the boardwalk area of Kelowna DT, this is really good value. I had the duck and my wife and the halibut. Both were fantastic. We also had bread to start and the butter they gave with it was slightly salted, making it super good. We topped off our lunch with a chocolate cheesecake - it did not disappoint!
Pork was prepared splendidly. The greens on the side were a tad bit salty but they complimented the polentas made perfectly subtle flavour. The jus was divine! The scallops, my goodness, perfection! Strawberry shortcake was an experience of different textures and tastes with every bite. Loved the mini meringues.
I proposed here! The outside path with the romantic lights was perfect after the delicious meal! We ordered the flight of red wines which included a tasting of four wines from a rose to darker red. They were all really good For food we ordered the duck and flat iron steak which was soo good. We finished with a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and loved it! However was a bit disappointed as I had emailed the restaurant initially about the possibility to of proposing and hadn't received any acknowledgement of it in the response I got. Was expecting some excitement from the restaurant and maybe even an offer of assistance.
Old Vines is kind of tucked away off the road. The restaurant has a comfy, cozy feel and a lovely view of the vineyards and lake. We had the tasting menu last night and it was delicious.
Restaurant is beautiful with clean tables and nice decor located on a vineyard. Food tastes good with fair prices. Bathrooms are clean, large and comfortable. Front staff were nice and easy to talk to. One thing that I’d suggest is faster food service. It took about 1 hour until we got our food. I’m giving them full 5 stars because maybe they were short staffed.
