Blu Saffron Bistro

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Every time time I go here it’s a 10/10, and last night was no exception! Absolutely delicious, especially the features of the day: bannock with herbed cream sauce and penne pasta in a paprika cream and Parmesan sauce!

The view from the patio is gorgeous. Highly recommend the Blu Saffron Bistro. The place across the street has very limited parking, so their loss, but there was plenty here. Service was excellent, the pulled pork tacos were amazing get the extra 3rd one for $5, and the chicken pappardelle was to die for. Don't forget to hit the wine shop too. Going back for sure.

My partner got food poisoning from the Salmon Risotto, I had the beyond burger and was fine. Not only did the food poisoning spoil our date night, but the atmosphere in Blu Saffron was sub par, radio playing with ads, no atmospheric lighting, cafeteria style tables and so many flies, I had to keep my hand on my glass of wine the whole dinner to keep them from flying in- and even then I still had some floating. I hate to leave bad reviews but this was such a disappointment and we expect more when paying $120+ on a meal for two. We phoned the next day to let them know about the food poisoning and no refund/ compensation was offered for our meal.

What a great choice. Great patio view and fantastic food. Our party opted not to dine at other wineries due to their price and availability. We were able to comfortably eat here and relax before continuing on our day. Although BluSaffron is not the most luxurious restaurant on the block, I would say its still the best.

Very good service and delicious food. Had their specials, pork chop and lamb shank, both were very good. They also got a great view on the patio. The entrance is hard to find, on the right side on volcanic hills winery near the back.

Beautiful location! The atmosphere outside would be beautiful! Which is why I gave this restaurant a 3 star as they refused to seat us outside disputes it being dry! I understand it would be inconvenient to have one guest sitting outside and the rest inside however there was about 3 people there so they weren’t packed or anything.. she mentioned a weather warning when I asked however on the phone she simply said they weren’t seating because it was wet! Which it has dried already The food was delicious! The Baked brie was amazing and I wasn’t a fan of the seared tuna because too many flavours however my husband enjoyed both that and the steak however the steak had quite a bit of fat maybe they leave it on for flavour but the 10oz steak was more so 7. Would definitely visit again despite the little things though because the ambience was fantastic!

Stopped for a quick bite after a wine tasting. Ordered the truffle Parmesan fries and did a build your own Charcuterie Board with aged cheddar, Gouda, Mediterranean olives, chorizo and baguette slices. Truffle Parmesan fries were very tasty, came with some kind of a mustard to dip them in. Cheeses were good, only complaint is that the baguette slices were cut on and angle and were extremely big for being part of a charcuterie only got 3 slices. We cut them up, which took away some of the class.

One of the most delicious meals we have had in a long time! Brittany, our server was incredibly kind and didn't miss a beat! We will absolutely be coming back to try more of the menu items! I had the mushroom ravioli, with prawns and my husband had the salmon risotto. We also had the baked brie to start. It was all very yummy! Highly recommend!

Loved the food—great taste, filling, and not too expensive. The server was also very friendly and attentive. Great spot to grab lunch!

Not a good experience at all. From the moment we got in the door we had attitude from Mike the bartender. They have a very beautiful patio overlooking the winery and it was a beautiful °27c Sunday day he would not allow us to put up an umbrella because of a slight breeze. We asked for a table in the shade which that 6 people, we were a group of four and he told us he was reserving that for larger groups. It was a very large patio with only eight people. Our only option was to put us inside and again it was a beautiful day. I can see why there were not very many people in this restaurant. To top it all off we all felt that the food and service was mediocre at best. Would not recommend this establishment.
