They deserve the star! Excellent food and service. I would like to have more starters and the waiter recommend me the tasting menu, too good to have it together with his recommended white wine, it’s perfect for my birthday dinner. P.S: amazing price less than £170 per head with the tasting menu+wine+ birthday sweet.
We were a bit disappointed with this restaurant. The starters were tasteless the linguini was very watery and the aubergine soup didn’t taste like aubergine at all. The main courses were ok-ish, but there was no wow factor as you would expect in a Michelin restaurant. Service was ok, the staff was nice.
Enjoyed the visit. I would rate this restaurant as casual fine dining. Between a bib and a star. The food is to the point and well cooked. Enjoyed all dishes from start to finish. The bread is well-made, and the set menu is delicious and offers plenty of variation. Wine list is nice and has the usual UK prices :D. Glasware could be more elevated. The evening was very nice and enjoyed all aspects as well as some of the wine pairings. Sommelier was friendly as well as the service. As the evening progressed, the standard went down. At the end had to flag the service staff multiple times for the wine list, to order, ask for the sommelier to advise. In the end, we did not order more wine and asked for the bill. Wish they would bring this up to the standard of a fine dining restaurant. The dining room is large and might need more staff. All in all a very nice restaurant, good solid hearty cooking with a little bit "clunky" service moments.
We had a family meal here recently, which was wonderful. It's and old fashioned restaurant in way, with excellent service, all of the staff were superb. Thr food isn't classically overdone French, but is influenced by, so has a more modern feel. It was all excellent, from the starters scallops, ceviche, soup, the mains fish, beef, vegetarian, to desserts brownies and a fabulous tarte-tartin for two. Portions don't feel big, but given they are rich, I felt they were perfectly sized. With regard to food, we had a vegan as part of our party, and having notified the restaurant ahead of time of this, they made sure there was an option, which got just as much attention as the regular dishes. The wine list is ridiculously long, and expensive, but if you're in a place like this, eating great food, you might as well have a good wine. The sommelier is excellent and will give good advice, and keep the cost down if you ask. Is this an expensive restaurant? Yes, no doubt about it, but is it worth it? Also a Yes. It's a treat, but a lovely one. Dietary restrictions: They catered very well for a vegan, but did know in advance.
Excellent food. I ordered braised lamb as starter and deer meat as main. Both were excellent. Desserts were good but not outstanding. I ordered the bitter chocolate delice. Too sweet. Price was reasonable. £50 for 3 courses at lunchtime in the weekend. Staff were ok not outstanding. I’ll be back again!
We had lunch here on Good Friday and loved the spring menu. I had an aromatic wild garlic veloute for starters followed by succulent lamb loin with crispy belly main course. Then a lovely light and fluffy banana soufflé for dessert served with a sharp passion fruit ice cream. Beautiful food and surroundings with a friendly service!Food: 5/5
Modern French cuisine that is good for celebration or even when you want to treat yourself. Fabulous food and service!
Lovely Michelin Star Restaurant. Attentive but intrusive staff. Food is excellent! Sit outside if you can. Good pricing for 3 course dinner
This is definitely one of the best restaurants in London today. I can not recommend it highly enough. First class service. A superb wine list. Sublime food. Fabulous!!Food: 5/5
Whilst we continue to miss The Glasshouse La T's sister now closed this is a happy consolation. Chef has moved here & a lot of staff too so food & service are top notch. It's a little bigger so atmosphere not quite so cosy.Food: 5/5
