Wonderful small family run Restaurant. Menu has been scaled down from a few years ago. You can't substitute the German potato for spaetzle when it's busy, be forewarned! Food is delicious.

Very busy spot so reservation is a good idea but you will not be dissapointed. The Swiss Snitzel with pork, ham and cheese was delicious. The pan-fried haddock with veggies, mushrooms and potatoes with butter and caraway seeds are 10 stars. We barely fit in a shared piece of Black Forest cake. Only open a few hrs a day so you know food is fresh.

You'll find this gem not far from historic Lunenberg. It's reasonably priced and spacious with good service. More importantly, the food is great! It is here that we introduced ourselves to maultaschen, a German style ravioli-like dish consisting of pasta stuffed with beef and spinach. This was, by far, the best ravioli I've ever eaten! Also, we tried a schnitzel sandwich that was equally tasty. Should we find ourselves in Lunenberg again, we will definitely be paying this restaurant another visit.

Went here the first time tonight. I myself am from German decent and am usually critical when it comes to my German food experiences abroad. This restaurant however really surprised me. I enjoyed a large portion of yummy goulash soup while sipping on my Apfelschorle. Then came my German trilogy dish featuring home made Spätzle which were better than my mums, schnitzel which was extremely tender but crispy, sauerbraten tasted amazing also and the homemade Maultaschen were epic. After eating both these dishes there wasn't enough room for desert, but I will definitely be back to try some soon. Did I mention the restaurant is very homey and clean! If you are looking for good tasting German food in the southshore area then this is the only place I would recommend. Prices are a little higher but I will gladly pay a little more for good quality and exquisite great tasting food. Well done Thomas and Barbara Heimert. Thank you, I will be back. Andreas
