I recently purchased a pair of winter boots from this location to which I had an horrible experience trying to return my unworn pair as it was not what I expected it to be. The person at the customer service refused to return my pair and treated me very rudely. Overall I was displeased with her. I happily did my return to a different location.
UPDATE : Softmoc @ Sunnyside Mall, Bedford helped me with my return. Nice and respectful service. Halifax shopping centre store staff, left a very bad taste of customer service though! Only store I ever had to face an issue. A store I am never walking in again. Today I went to return a pair of sandals which I bought for my mother, but that pair actually gave her tremendous pain when worn. The sandals were tried only indoors. The lady at the counter, probably same from another review I read with black hair and black glasses was very rude and left an unpleasant experience. It’s not even been 2 weeks when the pair was bought and was told its been worn out and they will not accept the return, further went on saying that every store in the city has same policy, which is unfortunately not true. Never had such an experience with Sportchek - wish I bought it from there instead. She was rude to tell me that and when asked to share this store policy she said I am store manager and I am saying it, that it is it but not ready show the policy in writing. My receipt didn’t say so either. When I demanded to escalate this experience first she gave me a wrong call centre number to call. When asked them to give me thw correct number, she gave me another number and asked me to leave the store while handing it over. Never ever had such a bad and rude customer service experience in any store. NEVER BUYING ANYTHING AGAIN FROM SOFTMOC!
I went to soft moc yesterday in an attempt to return a pair of shoes I bought the day before. I had never worn them aside from trying them on in the store before I bought them. When I tried to return them, an older woman with black hair and black glasses was so rude to me. She said they were worn after I told her I only tried them on in store. When I said again I only tried them on in store she said “look I’m not arguing” in the meanest tone possible. Then she went on about how I wasn’t telling the truth, when I was telling the truth. I have been very upset all day yesterday and all day today. She was extremely rude to me and should not be working customer service. I was able to return them today to a different location because there was nothing wrong with them . However this negative experience had such an awful impact on my past couple of days. I said “have a nice day to her” basically in tears because she was so rude to me and then she heard me and chose to ignore me. Will never return to this soft moc.
I went in on the evening of Sept 13th between 7-8pm with the intention of buying Blundstones. There were two employees behind the counter and one was helping a customer and one was counting change, there were no other customers in the store. I stood by the Blundstones for about 5 minutes. In the meantime the customer left the counter and a third employee came out from the back. I had yet to be acknowledged and would have been fine to wait if I had been. I took a boot and decided to head toward the counter. At the same time the two female employees went to look at something out on the floor, walked by me and still didn’t acknowledge me as I was going to the counter with a shoe in my hand!! To say I put the shoe back and left unhappy is an understatement and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review but it was terrible customer service! I headed to Browns and purchased the boots and two care products and likely won’t be back to Soft Moc in the future.
Read mutiple reviews and seems I am not the only one who faced challenges and rude behaviour of staff at Halifax shopping centre location while returing unworn shoes. In my case I was able to return at another location without any hassle. Softmoc should look at the staff hired at this location, leaving a very bad example of customer service.
I went to the Halifax shopping Center, soft mock location to return my pairs of winter boots, the lady manager who I dealt with was very rude, she refused to return my unworn pairs and said would not accept the return as to she believed it was worn and was unsellable. Overall my experience at this location was awful. Poor staff and worst of all poor management team. I will never shop from this location again.
I visited this softmoc and I am very disappointed with the behaviour of the employees and the customer service. So I decided to by a shoe which had a tag for 37.99 and when we came to the register to play after trying the shoe twice to finalize it they told the price is 100 after we paid and when we asked who’s responsible for this mistake they were not able to answer and we’re not willing to mark down also the customer service is really degraded even the manager was not doing anything
I tend to stop in here whenever I'm in the Halifax area. I didn't find any footwear here this time around that I couldn't live without. There is always an excellent choice of prices and footwear here!
I had an amazing help from this lovely young lady who was patient with my husband an I ; didn't rush us to make a decision after us being in the store for some time.. we went looking for something else and we left with something better! her patience and customer service is what this store needs, to much attitude from managers, manages need to learn how to speak to their staff and customers , I hope this young lady sees this review and knows that she is doing a wonderful job, i will always remember her from unique name, my husband and i live out of town but would come back just for her kindness.
Had very very very bad experience in this store. Bought a pair of shoes in the store. Went to return them after I realized they are not for me. I have never worn them out. Did try them on at home and that’s it. The store manager straight up turned me away said it’s worn and dirty. Her attitude was so rude and impatient. At first I felt fine, just left and used some wipes to clean the bottom very carefully cuz there might be some dust in my house but it’s definitely not dirty and worn as she said. Went back again but she was just looking for a bone in an egg. Said the dusts are not just on the surface and they are deep. I took the same shoes that they display on the counter to compare. Their NEW ONE is even more dusty than mine!!? But she insisted mine is dirtier. Have never felt so frustrated with any costumer service before. Definitely felt being discriminated against. Asked another staff in there, he looked a bit awkward and said the sole is a bit worn but the bottom is clean. That’s just completely unfair judgment and it’s obvious different excuse than the manager. And how can the sole be worn when the bottom is clean!?? The attitude and performance of the staff and manager there are so unprofessional and so disappointing.
