Oakwood Resort

I have mixed feelings. The location on the water is perfect. The golf course is beautiful. Our room has a nice balcony. The parking is tight and there's some deferred maintenance in some of the buildings. The pool especially- it is indoor but needs renovating. The grounds are truly stunning though. Their gardner knows what they are doing.

I stayed at the Oakwood Resort June 14/25 and I was pleasantly surprised. Nice room, dated but nice. The pool,hot tub,sauna was nice. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Dave's Pub&Grill was good food and great nite entertainment. And there is access to private beach, which was a bonus for me. Highly recommend staying here.

Stayed on June 22/25 for 1 night. It was a beautiful day. The resort was clean, extremely friendly, and accommodating. The grounds are immaculate. Access to the beach is about a 7 minute walk from our room. Beach is fantastic.

Really cute cabin feel to it. Close to the beach, and nice that it's a private beach as well. Washroom could use some updating though.nPeople were really friendly. Would stay here again.

If I had to describe this place with one word, it would be disappointing. Service at check in was good. They were friendly and helpful. The rooms are what’s disappointing. Beds are nice but the carpets are old and stained. They look like they were put in 40 years ago. The bathroom door has a huge hole in it and the tub drain is clogged. My husband pulled a huge plug of hair out and then it started draining so we didn’t call maintenance. The tv is probably 36”very small and doesn’t have a tv guide so not great. The bathroom has mold on the walls and ceiling. The garbages are super tiny and weren’t emptied while we were here. No recycle bins anywhere in the rooms or on the resort. The pool and hot tub are full of families and screaming kids. It would be nice to have seen an outdoor hot tub for adults to use that want some peace and relaxation. The resort isn’t just for families. For the price we paid I was expecting at least an updated resort. It’s run down….
