OAKVIEW Lodge and Marina

Hosts Anna and Greg were fantastic and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We really could not thank them enough for their effort. The lodge is set right next to a lake with beautiful views and ideal for outdoor activities. We stayed at the sunrise room. The room, restaurant, bar and general areas were in great condition and always spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner was freshly prepared. Whole experience was awesome! Will definitely visit again perhaps in Winter.

One of the best places I stayed in, although I consider it as a very basic lodge, but very clean, the owners who also work there, are very accommodating, cheerful, friendly and helpful. I can go there again and again, just to enjoy the owners accompanying, the lake is great but nothing much to do around. The food is more than great, no matter where did you eat before, breakfast and dinner was amazingly fantastic. We took the Sunset suite, again very clean and comfy, although I would consider it small for a suite. The TV system might need an upgrade, but if you are to go to such rural area, it should expected that you are not going to watch TV. The only missing thing and it is not major would be an iron for cloth, but I think if you ask for it you would get it. They offer a free wifi, however not for fast downloading or streaming videos, and they take it down at 11 PM. Lots of indoor entertainment like board and card games as well Wii, piano and a bar. I am totally satisfied.

Great rooms, fantastic hosts and lots of activities including canoeing and trekking. The breakfast was outstanding.
