It has taken me a bit of time to write this review. I lost my sweet girl to Canine Lymphoma in October. She was 9 years old and it was a devastating diagnosis for us. Dr. Samantha Jenkins was absolutely the most amazing vet for our girl. She was kind and truly cared about our Nellie. She guided us all the way through the treatment and when it was time for Nellie to cross over the rainbow bridge, she could not have been more empathetic. The entire team was accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommend this clinic.
Dr. David Dukoff was beyond compassionate and so validating. He spoke to me about my cat Andy as if I had knowledge which I do regarding liver issues and totally made me feel competent. Additionally, reception and the vet tech on duty were very polite, caring, and I could see they really care. I was offered coffee, allowed in with my cat, and overall a very good experience. I would recommend this place as an urgent care clinic any day. Thank you all so much.
My dog was attacked by an off leash dog and when I called them, they told me they will take us in immediately to be examined and get stitches. I've been there 2 times after that with another dog of mine, and the vets and techs are very helpful, thorough and knowledgeable. They often call to check up and get an update how the dog is doing which is an extra cherry on top. My dogs are in great condition, thank you!!
I had just moved back to Barrie with my three elderly cat family. One of my beautiful old boys had recently been diagnosed with cancer. He was doing okay after my move but quickly was deteriorating. I made a random call to this clinic and they were all so understanding and booked an immediate appointment for me to say good bye to my wonderful Ginger Boy Jack. Their palliative room is quiet and private. It was perfect as our fur family deserve a private loving environment when we know we have to say good bye. I didn’t get a chance to tell the Staff how much they made this easier for me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Teresa LeTourneau
My doberman Odis took a turn with his health at age 12 - we brought him in and right away and the staff went above and beyond attending to our dog with his pain allowing family to attend their clinic to say our goodbyes - they were compassionate and professional I will never forget their how they made our dog comfortable in his final moments. Thank you to the entire staff I will never forget the precious last moments we had with our family dog.
My pet has been a patient for a few years. A couple of weeks ago she did something to her back leg & was not weight bearing. I called asking to have her looked at. I was told the clinic was booked & to take her to the emergency veterinary. My response was if I have to do that I will obtain a new veterinarian. I don’t expect them to open the clinic after hours but I do expect that during regular hours they would see an injured pet. I requested someone contact me about this. Never happened
Very helpful, professional and accomodating! If they tell you to bring your pet in right away, DONT WAIT, just go! They were able to take our dog in right away, despite warning us over the phone that they were very busy. Our dog recieved the required treatment immediately, which was quick but time sensitive and likely saved his life. We were able to speak with a vet shortly after, who took the time to carefully explain everything that happened and what we needed to do now. We were out in 2 hours and the fees were much less than expected! I can't guarantee the same positive outcome for anyone, but I am confident that you can trust this place when you need them. So grateful to be have this service available.
I never want to leave a bad review, but I really did not appreciate the experience of putting my cat down here. My cat was in a lot of pain and after a 5 minute or less physical, we were handed a list of expensive tests that we could not afford. We felt our only option was to put him down because he was suffering a lot and could barely move. Then we were handed a list of expensive urns and paw prints to chose from, and then the debit machine was brought in before the euthanasia process even started and I had to pay while I was crying, knowing that I was paying for them to kill my cat while he was meowing and in pain next to me. The whole thing felt like a business transaction and the process was so awkward, no empathy felt from the vets. Absolutely awful.
Back in 2016 I brought my cat in because her eye didn’t look normal. They came to the conclusion that it was glaucoma and said the eye would need removed. They gave her medication which is known to cause kidney damage and of course I knew nothing about it at the time. Not only was the quote for the surgery outrageous but the medication caused my cat to have kidney failure. She had the eye surgery done at a different vet for half of what this one quoted, and in the end the kidney failure is what killed her, not the glaucoma. I would never recommend this place to anyone. All they care about is the $$$$$$$$, nothing else!
Never use osullivans for anything but buying pet food and at this point won’t even do that anymore. 3 experiences from my self or others I know. 1 They let my sisters dog sit in a exam room with a puppy stuck half out with the head still inside of her until my mom could go get the money in full as we rushed her to the vet so fast we didn’t bring more then $500 with us. 2 I'd agree, we also had issues with no service until paid in full. Total disregard over the nature of the animal and its wellbeing. 3 Our dog decided to bite a porcupine. Quills through his lip, his nose and in his mouth. We removed what we could before taking him in. Of course it was later in the evening so we went to osullivans. We got pushed aside for a dog that hadn't arrived yet. For breathing issues. We paid to have them removed. they called to say he was done. ....our dog still had quills in his nose when we picked him up. Not impressed because it wasn't cheap. Im not sure why this place remains to be allowed open with total disregard to our animals/ pets who we love and think of as family. These owners do not care about your animals they only care about the money. If you want your pet to be properly taken care by people who care about your animals and remember their names when they come in and don’t care about the money. I suggest using innisfil veterinarian hospital, 20 more minutes of a drive but your pets will actually be taken care of properly.
