The care and compassion this team has for both my pet and me are outstanding. Daily calls and check ins with aftercare have kept me more at ease. The team is wonderful and quick attention by medical staff for my boy means everything. I also have to give a special shoutout to Amanda. I cannot thank her enough for all the support and understanding. Best place for your pet. They truly treat each pet like family.
This clinic was amazing. We were up north at our cottage. Got up Saturday morning and our little guy seemed to have a difficult time breathing. We tried finding a local vet Saturday morning but they were all closed. So we started heading to Barrie and making calls to see if any clinic would squeeze us in. Thank God Aldergrove agreed to squeeze us in between appoints. Saturday was a very emotional day for us. Although the clinic tried to help our baby nothing worked and we ultimately had to put him down. The staff and vet were amazing, very empathetic and compassionate. We truly felt like they cared for us and our dog. Best experience ever at any vet although the outcome was not what we were hoping for.
I had the best experience bringing my 12 year golden retriever for her yearly checkup and vaccines. Right from entering the clinic to leaving, the team is friendly, kind, very caring. I live in Midland, but I drive to Barrie because of the excellent care we receive. Thank you so much!!
Had a scare with my dog and the woman was trying super hard to work us in that day. But I said next day was fine. The staff are super nice and friendly. The place looks amazing. Definitely the place to bring your pets.
I explained my dog gets super anxious and aggressive about trimming his nails. I told them he has to be drugged or he will bite. I was given meds to give him the night before and next day. He knew by the second day that it was medicine and he wouldn’t eat it. I called and asked what we should do. “Put it in cheese,” was the best answer as if I hadn’t thought of that. The technician didn’t get the nails trimmed. She also had no other option. I did have to pay and all that really happened was my dog’s trauma was made worse ! Much worse in fact because she cut one nail too short! I asked if he could be put under anaesthetic. I said I would even have his dew claws removed at the same time anything to get his nails trimmed!. I was told that might traumatize him, by the same person that traumatized him when she cut his nail too short. Nice. At this point, my 7th conversation with a representative of this clinic, no one seemed to yet understand what it was I wanted. My dog’s nails trimmed without worsening how traumatized he is by it. So, almost 200 dollars later he has a rabies shot and his front paw not yet trimmed and one too short ensuring he will never let anyone near it again. Worst is how rude and unfriendly the technician was. Never again.
Going through difficulties of losing a pet aldergrove let me down. When my beloved dog Oakley had to be put down I called aldergrove who was her vet for most of her long life they said that they could not fit her in before closing. I had to bring her to a different vet. Fast forward to last Friday. And they did the same thing with our cat Buster after they apologized and made a donation in Oakley name did the same thing actions speak louder then words
We can not recommend Aldergrove Animal Clinic strongly enough. Over the 7 years that we have been dealing with them we have always been very happy with the service that we receive.
My family have taken our animals here for many years, from dogs to hamsters, bunny's to birds!.. The veterinarians and staff always go out of their way to help and provide excellent care and the pricing is very good compared to others practices, too.
They have given spectacular treatment both to my pet and with me. I have a dog with a complicated demeanour and they have been respectful of her and provided me the tools to allow her to be safely cared for while in the clinic. She has barely reacted poorly with anyone she has gone with, which is unusual when we have to take her in for checkups or care, so they just be doing something right!
