O'Connor's has a local history almost as long as the city of Portland. Founded in 1934, the original location was a "Service to Men Only" Card Room and Cafe in the heart of downtown Portland. Our founder, Eddie O'Connor, was a Montana cowboy, hence our slogan, "O'Connor's - where Montana people meet the rest of the world."
Our music venue is frequently described as one of Portland's best-kept secrets. The Blues, Jazz, Rock, Americana and Roots as well as professional quality and authenticity will astound. Many musicians who are members of the Oregon Music Hall of Fame perform here regularly and call O'Connor's their favorite venue. We're looking forward to sharing our music schedule here on Facebook.
It takes more than wonderful music and owner Steve Arel's charm to attract our loyal patrons...they come for the "home" cooking! We serve breakfast every day of the week, with a long "brunch" on weekends going to 2 pm. Our regular menu includes all of the homestyle items you'd expect from a neighborhood cafe, with a sophisticated, daily Fresh Sheet featuring special soups, salads, seafood, chicken and beef entrees. Tasty deserts and a full specialty bar finish every meal perfectly. We have a friendly, cost-saving Happy Hour from 3 to 6 pm, 7 days a week. Our fresh-air deck is ready to enjoy the Oregon sunshine (yes, it does happen frequently!)
