NYX Professional Makeup

Celeste is a colour matching queen! Didn’t need more than one swatch for both me and my friend. She was fun and professional and offered amazing advice. The other staff on duty were also so so kind and knowledgeable. The products are very good quality for such a low price point. I’m very impressed and would totally recommend this store and brand to anyone!

I love NYX's products, great quality for great prices. The first time that I went to the store in West Ed, I had the best experience! The woman who helped me knew her stuff, listened to my concerns and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I was looking forward to my next visit. When I went there recently with a friend however, I was very disappointed with the customer service. There were two workersstanding there, talking to each other. No other other customers in sight. We were there for about five minutes, and no one came to help. A third worker approached the other two and joined in on their chat, ignoring us as well. I left since I didn't feel like spending my money in a place that obviously didn't want my money.

Went there and was very pleased with the experience, a sales clerk approached me and asked if I needed any help. I wanted to find a foundation match and she found the perfect one. She was amazing and showed me how to use bronzer to add colour to my face. Would highly recommend this store not only on the staffs attentive attitude but also their product knowledge. As well as the affordable price point.

I agree with other reviewers. Extremely unfriendly staff and zero customer service. When asked to try something to see how it looks, the lady told me to try it on my wrist. Yeah lady, sure let me contour my wrist to see how it looks. Why do they walk around with a "makeup tool belt", if they're not going to assist customers when needed? I'd much rather go to the professionals at Sephora or MAC next time.

I was so excited to visit the NYX store for the first time...I wasnt even concerned with the lack of customer service while i browsed. I chose a highlighter that was swatched on my wrist as the girl didnt "think it would be true to color over my existing highlighter" I asked if i did purchase, could I exchange if I wasnt pleased with it and the answer was "Oh absolutely! We want you to have products you like!" That being said, I picked up several items to try and went on my merry way. Long story short, the highlighter ended up looking so chalky on my face and when I brought it back, I was told impatiently that everything was final sale unless it was unopened...NO EXCEPTIONS. So, buyer beware, if you buy it, youre stuck with it. I didnt even want my money back, just an exchange for an appropriate shade that I could actually use. Im extremely disappointed and my friends and I will shop elsewhere. Its 2019, any proper make up counter stands behind their product and cares about their customers satisfaction...not NYX! At least train your staff on your final sale policy, because if i would have known all sales were final, I wouldnt have tried so many new products or would have tried them all in the store even though the employee was rushing me out. One star because I liked the lip oil I grabbed.... Such a shame due to the potential of the store and brand.

I went to NYX wem location today and was offered help by one of the staff, but she was not helpful. She wiped off one side of my full face makeup to apply concealer for colour matching, and after 20 mins of colour matching she finally found the colour and left my face unfix with spots with no makeup and spots with different colour concealer! Not to mentioned She had a hard time to color match for me. Was not professional at all. Then she asked me if i was okay with the different colours on my face!! Emm lady! Of course not! I told her no, i just started shopping and i came with full face makeup i want it fixed back. She said "true", then attempt to "fix my face back" but couldnt.. after multiple tries, she still couldnt get the right colour and told me its still different colour. Omg i cant believe this! She is the one witht the brushes belt on her waist, isnt she suppose to know what to do with people faces! At the end, i had to fix my face myself after she ruined my makeup. After all that trouble, I still boight multiple items anyways but this time i did not ask for help because she wasnt professional enough to colour match. I had to colour match myself. The cashier aske me "did anybody help you today?" I point to the black lady in thw blue hair and said "she tried but was not helpful, she wiped of my face makeup, and couldnt fix it back" and the cashier said "ohh, im sss". She didnt eveb apologize, she was trying to, but did not actually said sorry. Horrible services! I will not return!

They need people who know how to match properly like who understand how black skin works. It's 2019 and the ethinitcty in Edmonton is growing try to get some staff that represents that. Overwise they where ok but need better customer service skills!

Natasha is great at customer service. I asked if she was the manager and she replied “no” and I said that she should be because she does a fantastic work at taking care of her clients and providing them with the help they need.

Great selection and staff was friendly... although I was kind of left to fend for myself .. it was almost closing so I suppose they were pretty busy getting everything done... they did point me in the right direction but didnt offer as much help as I wanted .. next time I will go earlier.

2 starts because the store is usually clean and organized. But the customer service gets 0 star. A couple times i needed assistance but i quickly realized that the Staff are rude and unhelpful. They try their best to ignore you.
