Such a beauty. You have to buy a ticket to enter the place. They have discounted ticket for students and seniors. I loved this place it was so pleasant to sit in there other than the tourists talking. We sat on the corner then the main seating area for some quiet and peace. Will definitely visit again.
I found it to be overwhelming. There is so much to see plus it was calming and quiet. The architecture was amazing. The organ is the second largest in the world. Our visiting time was an hour. Some people are there longer depending on how close you study everything. There is a separate prayer room open to anyone. I feel anyone would enjoy and should go and see the beauty of it .
Absolutely get tickets in advance because the line for tickets is massive and if you already have them, there's no line at all to get inside.nnIt's an absolutely gorgeous place filled with history and great artworks.nnHowever, it was insanely crowded when we went, which detracted a bit from the experience. A good recommendation is to avoid going on weekends or going in the middle of the afternoon. I believe that going on a weekday as soon as they open would make it a better experience.
The light show is absolutely breathtaking—truly beyond words! It was incredibly beautiful and awe-inspiring, easily the highlight of our trip to Montreal. The interior of the basilica is stunningly detailed and magnificent. I would definitely return to see it again if I have the chance. Highly recommend this unforgettable experience!

Inside, the basilica is even more impressive, with its intricate details and stunning architecture around every corner. If you're in Montreal, I highly recommend visiting – it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. I’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in town!
