Absolutely get tickets in advance because the line for tickets is massive and if you already have them, there's no line at all to get inside.nnIt's an absolutely gorgeous place filled with history and great artworks.nnHowever, it was insanely crowded when we went, which detracted a bit from the experience. A good recommendation is to avoid going on weekends or going in the middle of the afternoon. I believe that going on a weekday as soon as they open would make it a better experience.
My husband and I recently visited the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The light show was absolutely breathtaking – words can’t do justice to how stunning it was and the sense of awe it left us with. It was definitely the highlight of our trip! Inside, the basilica is even more impressive, with its intricate details and stunning architecture around every corner. If you're in Montreal, I highly recommend visiting – it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. I’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in town!
I found it to be overwhelming. There is so much to see plus it was calming and quiet. The architecture was amazing. The organ is the second largest in the world. Our visiting time was an hour. Some people are there longer depending on how close you study everything. There is a separate prayer room open to anyone. I feel anyone would enjoy and should go and see the beauty of it .
We visited the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal on the 24th, and it was an awe-inspiring experience. The intricate details of the architecture and the stunning interior design are absolutely breathtaking. The combination of vibrant colors, soaring ceilings, and exquisite woodwork creates a serene and magical atmosphere.nnThe Basilica's history and artistry make it a must-visit destination in Montreal. Whether you're admiring the grandeur of the altar or enjoying the tranquility of the space, it's truly a place that leaves you in awe.nnFor an even more memorable experience, we recommend attending one of the light shows. It’s a masterpiece of art and spirituality that we’ll never forget!
I read online that this was proclaimed as the sixth most beautiful building in the world. Unsure if I'd agree about the exterior, which is still very impressive I may add.nnHowever, the interior may be one of the most incredible churches I've ever been in. Absolutely astonishing, and oddly calming and imposing at the same time.nnAbsolutely worth 16CAD entry just to see the sanctuary and ceiling.nnAt the time of our visit, Jesus was mysteriously absent from his manger in the festive nativity scene.
