North Garden Restaurant

It's very unfortunate that I'm giving this restaurant 1 star (no star, if I could), since it used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant for their awesome food and great service. NOT ANYMORE! Food quality went downhill. Not only that, I FOUND 2 STRANDS OF HAIR IN THE JASMINE RICE. I made the server aware, but came billing time, they have the nerve to charge me $1.00 for the rice I didn't touch! I got so much attitude from the woman server that night and she tried to ignore my complaint. It wasn't until the other server came to the cashier that i was able to pay the rest of my bill.I'm still annoyed about the whole situation! I don't have time to call back the next day...no point! They like their money too much. There are better places to go to in the south end of Winnipeg. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN!

I would never go to this restaurant ever ever again! The food is not worth and the service is too bad!!!!!!!! It’s my pick up meal, which is terrible! The foods are too old, looks very messy!!!!!! And there’s even no chopsticks or knives and forks in the bag.... When I call they said that it’s no their problem. Even no apologize.... I think I just paid $50 bucks to a waste-yard.

A little hit-and-miss, but generally good. For English-only customers (like myself), communication with staff can sometimes be tough, it depends on who you get. The food is usually excellent, but there are occasionally problems with quality. For vegetarians, you can ask to modify any dish to remove meat, and still be left with a hearty meal; their eggplant is excellent. Staff gets frazzled during the rush, so go during off-hours for the best experience. Open late

Very good dimsum. Other foods are excellent too. Service is good.
