Reviews
Went for breakfast was nice and quiet. Hands down the best breakfast I’ve had, the eggs were actually scrambled and not like an omelet cut up like most places! Sooo good! Servings were huge!
My husband and I had the dinner buffet. It was rather disorganized and slow when we arrived from seating to getting water and even utensils as well as payment. When we asked for clarification the employees were unaware of the answers. The food was good and we enjoyed the setting. Once, things calmed down the waitress was much more attentive and friendly. We did enjoy our dinner, we missed out on one dish as they ran out. Kind of surprised as we were there before 6 and it goes until 9. When asked if there was another item instead for a replacement no one seemed to know. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and will return. Fish would be excellent to maintain daily for those who don't eat meat or prefer Halal meats.
The location is beautiful, and the food was good, even though it wasn't quite what we ordered. This is a two day review, dinner and breakfast.nAs I said the location is beautiful, industrial meets post and beam, with stone work, and Indigenous artwork. The view of the North Channel is great, maybe slightly overgrown, but natural. We had a nice meal, but the evening wait staff was slow, and seemed inexperienced. There was a lot of standing around talking to each other while we, and other tables, wanted to order, eat, and drink. We enjoyed our meal, even though there was a mix up and my wife ended up with the wrong meal, it was still good and actually her second choice. We liked the theme of the dinner menu, wild boar, bison, and wild game sausage, to name a few interesting options.nWe saw an advertisement for a breakfast buffet the next day so we came back and different experience. The staff was much more attentive, Connie was great, but the food was just normal scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. There was nothing wrong with them, but nothing special. It seemed odd that there wasn't toast at breakfast.nWe would return, but I'm not going to say this was fine dinning, or something uniquely fantastic; it was okay.
Had the meatball sub, my wife had the whitefish dinner. The whitefish was deep fried, over done and forgotten. The meatball sub was good, but I neglected to be notified that all I got was the sub, no side to go with it.nnService was slow only because they were understaffed. The servers were putting up with a lot from the customers. The young lady who served us was a pro and my heart goes out to her for all the crap she was putting up with.nnCustomers can be jerksnnAs an aside, be aware there is an off-season menu where choices are limited.
Honestly, breakfast buffet wasn’t good, and the dinner was a hit or miss. I only gave it a good review because of the waitress I had, she was a sweetheart and understanding. My colleagues fried bread bannock was so bad, we are indigenous folk so the bannock was too carnival-like to us. Anyways, the waitress went above and beyond with a discount for the mishaps in the kitchen. Thanks ‘David Bowie’
