Moved here a couple months ago and have been to Ed’s a good bit since then. Everyone is always super friendly! I do think some of the food is hit or miss as I wasn’t a fan of the hamburger steak or the French toast but a lot of the menu is amazing! The grits are the best, they have an amazing hash brown casserole, the sausage links are so good, the country ham is perfect and super good as a breakfast sandwich. Their biscuits are so soft and good. They always have lunch specials for a great price. The cheeseburgers are good too. We really enjoy coming here. It is for sure a nice small town restaurant and they know all the regulars by name and orders.
This place here was sent to me by co- worker and when I say it's well worth my travel anyday. The host are friendly they talk to everybody. The people are even friendlier makes you feel right at home. The food speaks, yes speaks for itself. Child I couldn't stop saying ummmmm ummmm ummmmm. Parking: They have more parking in the rear of the building.
Stopped in for breakfast as we were visiting in the area. Knew we must of hit a jackpot because several people were waiting ahead of us outside to be seated. We may have waited a half hour but it was so worth the wait. The minute you walked into Ed’s you got that good ole at home country feeling. After we were seated a teenage boy I believe named Logan took our drink orders. What a sweetheart of a young man, he had an award winning smile, he was polite and attentive to our needs and he even looked at us in the eye and spoke clearly didn’t mumble. Something you don’t see often these days. Our server was friendly, quick and attentive too. Our food was as if my grandma made it for us. Good to the last bite. Checkout oh my the person checking us out was not only taking care of our bill but taking phone orders and not missing a beat. I could see back into the kitchen and it looked like a busy bee hive with all the kitchen employees scrambling around to prepare meals and they did with such prefection no wonder our meal was picture perfect. Every town town deserves a restaurant as Ed’s and their employees. Find job well done.
Lovely truly southern restaurant. Ed was in the kitchen whistling while he worked, and the food was fast and delightful. I ate there three days in a row and was never disappointed! Parking: Street or nearby Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy free options available
We traveled 20 minutes this morning to get breakfast and arrived at 10:45. We waited 10 min patiently obeying the “please wait to be seated” sign while watching 2 other parties walk in and seat themselves. Our server greeted us just in time to tell us they were no longer serving breakfast even though I just watched the 2 people who walked in after us and blew past the please wait to be seated sign order theirs. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at eggs up grill in Fuquay
Our family of 4 comes here regularly! We love Ed’s and all the staff who serve us so well every time we visit. We always go for breakfast and we’ve never been disappointed anytime we’ve ever gone! The Chicken Fried Steak is my absolute favorite thing to order and I would highly recommend it. Thank you Ed’s for always being so great!Recommended dishesBiscuits and Gravy, Chicken Fried Steak
Moved to the area a month ago and was intrigued with this local restaurant! The first time I came here we missed breakfast, so I tried some stuff from the lunch menu - grilled pimento cheese and fries. The sandwich was subpar, it really depends on if you like pimento cheese. Came back for breakfast today and was satisfied with my order. I tried the veggie omelette and hash brown casserole with a side of toast and it was delicious. The only downsides are the small dining space and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, but the great service and delicious food make up for it.
To the viejita who approached me about the review: here's your 5 stars! Great service thanks, Lisa! & Good food in a clean, comfortable space. Very friendly staff!
Such a shame to have to leave a negative review here. This place has been me and my daughters goto for Saturday breakfast for years. But this is disgusting. While waiting for my Togo order I watched Ed prepare my hot dogs and cheeseburger on the white cutting board that’s clearly visible from the cash register area. After he finished my order he bagged it up and put to the side. Then put raw chicken in the exact same spot he had literally just moved my food from and cut it up to put on the grill. I was in total shock. Then watched him put the next orders hot dog in the exact same spot as the raw chicken. That’s the grossest thing I have ever seen at a restaurant. Definitely will never ever go back.
The food was delicious, and prices were super reasonable and inexpensive. The service and atmosphere were awesome. I will definitely be back when I'm on that side of town.Food: 5/5
