Nixx Neighbourhood Pub

I didn't realize I had reviewed Nixx 4 years ago with a 3 star review. But here is an update nonetheless. Was there late last evening and the service was pretty bad. We ended up waiting 10 minutes before being greeted and asked what we were drinking. It may be our fault for not wait to be seated. During those 10 minutes, a few of the waitresses looked our direction only to go back to socializing with their friends or other customers. They may have been off the clock even though they did go behind the counter a few times. Once we received service, the drinks did come out very quickly by a friendly waitress. We ordered two orders of wings which took over 30 minutes. At one point I asked my friend if he wanted to cancel them because surely the order was not given to the kitchen. Wings cannot take so long from a pub on wing nite.... He being a nice guy said to wait a bit longer. They finally arrived and were hot and delicious, so they have that going for them. If you're looking for a quick drink and wings, be prepared to wait needlessly. Waitstaff do take for granted people's patience and willingness to tip the default 18%. my friend is too nice

Service was great…had the chicken club from the lunch menu. Chicken was great as well as the bacon. But combo’d with the other ingredients was kinda bland and the fries were terrible. Over cooked and I don’t think the oil was hot enough making the fries chewy not crispy

A standard neighbourhood pub with a rustic feel. There is pool table, video games inside so it’s good if you are in a big group and want to have some fun along with couple of drinks. Wdd we tried their original pale ale and nixx suicidal wings which is their hottest wings. We loved the wings as it was spicy and tasty. I personally didn’t find it that hot but I think that is because of my Indian origin and tolerance with spicy hot food. It’s on a nice quiet neighbourhood.

Used to come here all the time for wing night, good wings for the price and service. Last few times the service has been horrible, even when it’s not busy. Got given the wrong beer twice in one visit. Last two times they also “ran out” of dill wings… Our table was also not clean, which isn’t a big deal. But when asked for a cloth to wipe the table OURSELVES, we didn’t even get that. Update we have been here for over an hour, only ordered one order of wings since we already planned on going somewhere else… and still have not received our ONE order of wings after ONE whole hour of being here.. just the two of us.

Okay pub. But i had a good time. Waitresses could be more friendly. I went just for beer. I know the house gets more money when there is food involved, but I went just for drinks. Gave a good tip anyway, because I know costumer service staff makes money with tips. Will go back again to have a second opinion.

Pasta thursday special is an awesome deal. Happy hour burger is good as well

Standard pub fare. Burger tasted very good. Fries were pretty good too. Maye next time they will give me the coors light i asked for :

Chelsea’s service is amazing! Food was great, service fast and friendly. Definitely try out Thursdays at Nixx! Pasta,wine, and the best ever service by Chelsea.

Took a couple of my friends here who were visiting Calgary, and it was bumpin'! Perfect spot to get some food n drinks and watch the hockey game. Has a dive bar type vibe and the staff were quickly n friendly! I would return here

Werd cheap good wings good service eventhough it was a zoo with only a few servers.
