First time ever visiting today and I will definitely be back in the future! The staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. The food was fantastic! They also had a nice variety of wine to choose from. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.
This is a pretty nice little place. The service was excellent! It is hard to get in without a reservation, so make sure to book it a few days in advance. The hommade pasta was excellent and the bread was very good. The steak was not the best in the area, but was pretty good and seasoned perfectly. If you love chain Italian restaurants, this is not the place to go. The sauces are all hommade, pure and simple not sweet or salty, but very good. The portions are not huge, which I like, but some people may not. If you are looking for authentic tasting Italian food, this is a good choice!
Beautiful small restaurant. Very pleasant to come and drink and have amazing Italian food. I won’t lie you deff have to try out the Italian mule. By far best drink I’ve had! Shrimp scampi was so authentic I can’t say anything more then they are just awesome and you have to try them out yourselves!
5 Stars is not enough! Unpretentious, authentic passion experienced in here: cocktails, cuisine, & conversation. Transparancy in business speaks to me. Open kitchen, thoughtful staff, value-forward fare and no heat lamps! This visit we savored: spinach w/ buratta, chicken cacciatore over polenta, Mediterranean salmon amazeballs!...and do yourself a favor and order the housemade tagliatelle. Even if you're full and have to sacrifice it's perfect off-the-line texture, take it home and have it for breakfast! But maybe don't bother with the espresso-drowned gelato... because I'll gladly eat your share; simply divine!
Do yourself a favor. Stop reading reviews and schedule some time at this restaurant! If you're looking for delicious possibly divine, authentic Italian taste, Nipote's is worth making a regular stop. No bad options here! It's worth making reservations for larger groups more than four. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, including eggplant parm, pasta with cream sauces, bread baskets, and veggie friendly desserts!
I've been living in muskegon for about 2 years now and I come from Philadelphia which has some of the best Italian restaurants especially South Philly in the country. Nipotes was excellent. I had the chicken parm & it was tender and delicious. We split the garlic shrimp appetizer which was equally delicious. The owners wife came and asked us how everything was. She was very personable & friendly. Patrick, our waiter was amazing! Definitely coming back!

My husband and I decided to have lunch here for a date day. The atmosphere was really nice and staff friendly and efficient. He ordered chicken parmesan and I had spaghetti and meatballs. The best i can say is the proteins were nicely done. Meatballs were tender and the chicken had a nice crust. The red sauce was a real let down and just took both dishes down with it. The restaurant indicates it is housemade. If it is they need to spend some more time developing it. It tasted like bland tomato sauce and even had a "tin-ny" flavor. It lacked any character...and even salt. Dish presentation was nice. The cannoli is recommended. That was good!
My husband and I were here for the first time tonight for dinner. They've only been open for a couple of months and the food, drinks, and service are absolutely amazing! The owners themselves came out multiple times and greeted the customers and offered their suggestions when needed. The wine list is not extensive, but it's appropriate and pairs well with the food. We thought the proportions were absolutely perfect. My husband and I split every single thing and we left feeling perfect. Sorry, didn't get a pic of the canoli that we split
Excellent place, the food was amazing and if you're going to visit the Muskegon area I highly recommend going here. We got lucky with a walk in, but this is not always the case. usually, they are booked full by Tuesday for the weekend so try to reserve a table the week before you are planning to be there, and you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the steak and the shrimp appetizer; they were amazing the chef really knows how to make his ingredients sing so well. The atmosphere was quiet and the staff and cook staff were very polite, professional and proactive. I have never seen a place run so smoothly and efficiently. Now a few complaints, the chairs are metal and could be uncomfortable if you are in shorts or don't have a lot of tooshie cushion, the outside makes it a hidden gem because it looks like a hole in the wall dinner but inside is a different story. It is also a small restaurant so book early or you may not get to try this amazing hidden gem. Good eating and many empty glasses everyone. Kid-friendliness: they maintain the same quality for the kids meals as they do for the adult meals just in a smaller portion. Parking: right next to the building, make the first turn because the parking lot next door is private and a dirt parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: no steps that I noticed, but could be tough to navigate a chair through there. I believe if you tell them in advance that you have someone in a wheel chair in the reservation they should be able to accommodate you.
