I booked a room at Nicolin for my dad to stay while he was in town for 2 nights. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Location was very convenient as it was close to food and other amenities in town. The owner went out of his way to ensure all of my dad's needs were met, and was incredibly friendly and helpful. This meant a lot to me as my father is older and I'm very protective of him! The yard space was very nice....was not able to enjoy it due to the cold winter weather, but it would be an excellent space to enjoy in nicer weather. Very much enjoyed the breakfast as well. Would absolutely book again!!
My bridal party and I spent Friday night here and then my husband and I spent the following two nights for our wedding. Chad and Laura were exceptional from beginning to end in booking our rooms and taking good care of all of us while we were there. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and assisted us with whatever we needed at such a busy time. They made excellent breakfasts and accommodated my request of no meat items by providing me with an exceptional alternative to eat each day. The house is absolutely beautiful as are the gardens. I highly recommend staying here and are so grateful it was available to us for our event. We will definitely be back for future anniversaries :
The staff here is amazing! They really go the extra mile. The house tour was a really nice addition to our stay. This location is on the historic register. If you stay here make sure to get the history of the family that built this place. Service was great! Breakfast was amazing both days we were here! We are planning a return stay already!
Great B&B. Went on a somewhat busy weekend, plenty to do around town within walking distance. Arcade and brewery across the scree and winery down the street. House has great hosts and great rooms. It's rustic and very pretty. Service is amazing, welcoming and all around great stay.Rooms: 5/5
The BnB is located right at the center of town, we had a very clean room. The room and BnB was very quiet. Chad did an excellent job of giving the history of the house which was very interesting and also letting us know about the local attractions. We would definitely stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
Perfect anniversary weekend! Chad and Laura were such gracious hosts, very accommodating and absolutely loved talking with and learning about them. Chad told us all about the history of the place which was very interesting. He was quick to answer any questions I had prior to our visit. They recommended some great restaurants i.e. Suzettes, Jordan Supper Club, Delias All in One. We had the Nicolin room which is the largest room with a King bed, double jacuzzi tub, electric fireplace, tv with Roku, separate sitting area, large walk-in closet with extra hangers, hooks to hang clothes/hats, and a cot for an extra person if needed. The breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing and you have the option of room service or eating in the dining room. In the dining room area, there is a small fridge with small freezer inside filled with cold coffees, espressos, wine, sodas, half & half and the top shelf is reserved for guests who may want to put something in it. There is also coffee, tea, cocoa, nuts, snack bars, ice, water hot & cold, and wine in the cupboard just don't take advantage and take the whole bottle to your room as they are offering this as a kind gesture at your disposal 24hrs a day. There is an arcade across where you can pay $7 to play games all day. There is also Roets Brewery and a very nice antique store on the corner to the left. There is Lagoon Park with a nice little "beach" area where you can swim, a couple of small piers in which you can fish, a playground, and small "waterpark". Jordan is a very nice, quaint small town conveniently located near alot of things I would recommend Minnesota's largest candy store and the Winery at Sovereign Estates in Waconia. There is nothing bad to say about Nicolin Mansion. If you are in the area or just looking for the perfect getaway, not far from the city.....this is it, hands down!!
Chad and Lauren are fantastic, We had an amazing Time for my Wife's birthday weekend. The House is Beautiful.Rooms: 5/5
We were some of the first guests after new ownership took over, and they met all of our expectations. Super friendly hosts who had great communication! We got to tour the entire home and stayed in the Nicolin Room — extremely comfortable bed with a beautiful bathroom and nice little turret. Complimentary wine was provided and breakfast in the morning was delicious, especially the first course: prosciutto-wrapped fruit drizzled with balsamic, blueberry bread, chocolate bread, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Very memorable meal! I’d stay here again over any hotel in the area. All the best to the new owners on their newest endeavor!
Wow.. we absolutely loved staying here. Perfect location with walking distance to the arcade, winery, restaurants, and shopping. There was a tv and boardgames in the living area and coffee, popcorn, wine, and pop corn for grabs in the kitchen. The owners are so very sweet and accommodating and made a delicious breakfast in the morning! Thank you!! We will be back!
Great stay! I had a unique reason for being in town, and the owners were extremely accommodating. I stayed in the Nicolin room, which I believe is their signature room, and it was very cool. The feel was a great mix of nostalgia and cozy! Breakfast was awesome as well. I’d highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be back with my wife when we can have a leisurely night on the town. Thanks again to the owners. Super great to deal with, can’t say enough about them.
