Stayed at this hotel back in February and it has gotten better since then. Kids were happy that the pool was working. The rooms are clean but the carpeting throughout the building needs cleaning or replacement. The morning breakfast was pretty good. Coffee, juice, milk, toast, muffins, cereal and waffles with waffle iron was provided. All in all it was not the best but I hope that it does improve with time. Staff at the place were very friendly. Will probably stay there again because we have some family in the area. Don't know if other hotels are in the area.

Room was older with fridge and microwave. Bed had unknown substance on top of comforter with half used bottle of lotion.... Breakfast was cereal and juice only. Of which I helped instal new orange juice. Toilet was running before we got there. Hotel has seen it's better days.

Avoid At All Costs I reserved a room here for two nights, in order to attend the Renaissance Festival. Check-in took close to a half an hour, that was just the beginning. The hotel staff kept the AC off (windows open), and the room air conditioning barely worked at all... rather unpleasant on Minnesota’s hot, humid summer days. The shower had almost no water pressure, which turned out to be a helpful, as the tub had an extremely slow drain. The staff spoke English very poorly, and were prone to shouting across-the-room discussions in Hindi while guests were waiting for service. There was also some small child that was either the only person in the office, or in the lobby watching cartoons, the entire time I was there. Apparently, the hotel was recently acquired and under new management... unfortunately, the new management did not seem overly concerned about actually running the property. All of this could be overlooked; after all, a basic room is bound to have quirks… but the one unforgivable lapse was when I woke up the next morning and discovered the toiled did not flush. It would fill the bowl with water, but never actually flush… just trickle-drain after about 30 minutes or so. Thinking it was just something minor, I readied myself for the Festival, and mentioned the issue to the front desk- who assured me that it would be fixed right away. Returning that evening, I found that the toilet still did not flush, so I went to the front desk to ask about it, and the clerk assured me that it would be fixed “right away”, that he would be up in 30 minutes. Again, nothing. After an hour and a half, I went out for dinner came back, and still had no workable toilet. Back to the front desk, only to discover the desk was unattended. There is no bell on the counter, but I saw some boy in the office behind the desk playing a game on his phone… but he would not respond when I tried getting his attention. I had to go back to the room and call the desk, only to be promised that it would be fixed “right away”. I was not surprised that nobody showed up at the room to correct the problem. The second morning, I managed to get them to drop off a plunger, in hopes that it might make the commode usable- but no joy. Checked out without ever having a working toiled for the entire weekend.

My reservation was lost but we did get it figured out and were able to get a room. The first room we were given had a broken A/C and the room smelled a bit musky. The second room was much better in that the A/C worked. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable on day 1 but on day 2 our bathroom wasn't cleaned and we didn't receive clean towels (even after leaving a $10.00 tip for housekeeping) so we had to call the front desk to get them. There was a high pitch buzzing that I couldn't figure out where it was coming from but made it difficult to sleep. All the hallways had an odor, the carpet was stained, and I noticed a lot of water damage on ceilings around the hotel. The hot tub wasn't working and there were no pool towels both days that we stayed. The staff seemed friendly but also seemed like you were an inconvenience. The breakfast was gone by 8:30 but they say it's available until 10:30. Overall, the hotel is acceptable but not somewhere I'll be staying again.

A filthy hotel with lazy incompetent staff that prides their self on stealing from hardworking American citizens. Used this facility while in town on business. I returned to the hotel after work around 5 pm and was told I needed to leave because I did not have a reservation. I showed the reservation I had already paid for and called third party to confirm. Hotel said they would have to refund my money because they couldn’t honor reservation and had no rooms left. After I left I was charged $100 for BREAKING MY RESERVATION THEY REFUSED TO HONOR. Please avoid this hotel if you’re an honest American citizen that doesn’t like being stolen from!!!!
