Lot of mixed reviews so here is my 2 cents. I stayed for 7 days, including labor day weekend. I have a 30-ft class A, towing.n1 there are no road signs to direct you here, but my GPS led me straight to it.n2staff is awesome and keep a clean campground.n3 I was in site 16 and the road in is tight, but it's so beautiful with all the trees. I was able to get parked by myself so it can be done.n4 the holiday weekend was noisy late thru the night, campers playing music loud and the koa had a party with a DJ under the tent, BUT the campers were playing family friendly music with their kids and it was a very positive vibe. I enjoyed it. Maybe if I was there for 1 night after a long drive I may have been irritated. But I had a blast and we all partied on the dance floor under the tent. Monday after Labor Day, all campers had cleared out and it was super quiet.n5 the office does not answer the phone if they are busy, but I sent a text and they responded to my issue promptly.n6 laundry, restroom and shower facilities are not modern, but they were clean and functioning properly.nOverall, I would absolutely stay here again, but I would also keep in mind the time of year it is and the potential for a noisy crowd.
Second time here. This time on the other side of the campground. I thought it was much nicer than our first time here. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Almost all the sites are shaded. This time the other pool was open but the first pool was not. It was the opposite last time we were here but they replaced the liner in the pool that was closed last time.nnGrounds are very well maintained, good upkeep overall but the dog's park looks like it was reduced in terms of items with in the gated area. Not really a big park, just a fenced in area. Great for small dogs, not big ones.nnMini golf was redone recently and looks great, is actually kind of challenging!nnRoads are tight, must take your time driving through but it's doable.nnOverall a good time. They certainly try to do things with the kids to give you that resort feel, movies at night, build a pet, weekend pancake breakfast.nnI think for the most part, as a KOA, it's one of the better ones. Certainly had a better experience this time than the first time. Not sure if we'd stay here for more than a few days but for a night or two it's great.
We stopped on our way back from the PA RV show enroute to Massachusetts.nnThe park itself was decent, easy to get to and the people were friendly.nnWe didn’t use the bathrooms as we had our own but they were very messy and a bit dirty.nnThey had a great band playing Saturday night.nnDefinitely not worth the price to park in a gravel lot with no tree cover or privacy…additionally the amount of campers with dogs that they would not curb their barking was annoying. We have a dog and we have trained her not to bark so our neighbors can enjoy camping too.nnLastly…we camp to get away from the political noise that surrounds us in our daily lives. Your political choice should be private. I wish campgrounds would not allow political candidate signage, American flags are great. Military flags are fine too but just no politics please. KOA please stop allowing this. I saw several reviews complaining about this. PleasenListen.
We stayed in 2 different sights …the second night was a wooded area—- great. First night more of a parking lot vibe. The people working at the park are great … very accommodating. Nice KOA and not noisy and right off a highway like some. A small dog park but there were some reasonable areas to walk my 2 doodles.
Pretty noisy with a fair amount of golf cart traffic. We do not mind the sound of children playing but barking dogs, loud adults and noisy carts aren't our thing. They allow people to put lots of crap up in thier sites including political flags and signs which gives the place the feeling of a mobile home park or homeless camp. Bathrooms and showers were kind of gross. The night we were there some nearby young people were playing live loud music until midnight. They do have lots of amenities for kids. The camp store is great and well stocked. The location is fantastic for visiting nearby attractions. KOAs are not cheap... get with the program New York City North KOA.
