The walls full of black and white photos of ages past welcome you back as you order your regular: a Nancy’s Original Stuffed Pizza. You sit, and take your first bite, oozy gooey cheesy goodness, and you can’t help but smile. Great experience! Highly recommended. The meatball sliders were the best among the other appetizers we tried. Definitely try those little balls of happiness. It was very tasty, not bland at all. It was rich, buttery. Fried onion rings were very good too. Chicken wings were alright. Now, let's come to the deep dish pizza. This is the second deep dish pizza I tried, and the first one I liked. There were great flavors. The crust was perfect, not too dry, not too mushy. Since my experience at Giordano's was not good, I was skeptic. But Nancy's didn't disappoint. Drinks were very good too. We tried 4 different cocktails. First three were perfect. On the 4th one, something funny happened. One of us took a sip, found it was butter, and made a face. The bartender saw it, came running, and asked what was wrong with it. He said, he can give us a new one but we wanted to just add some lime juice to it. I liked the fact that they cared about the quality of their items and their customer's satisfaction. Will definitely come here again to try other items but I know my appetizer. Yes, the meatballs!
My wife has always wanted to try pizza from Nancy's pizza. We stopped in for a quick bite on New years Eve and we both weren't disappointed. I ordered the wings and onion rings. My wife ordered the A Lot A meat thin crust pizza that came with Canadian bacon, pepperoni, Italian sausage and bacon. My wife added bell pepper and onions also. I ordered the wings plain with a side of blue cheese. The wings were very flavorful and cooked very well. The onion rings were awesome especially with the sauce drizzled all over them. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her pizza! She gave it a 10 out of 10! We would definitely go back again.
Came to eat here the first day we landed in Chicago as I have never been to Chicago but knew I had to try deep dish pizza. Hands down, the best pizza I have ever had. We ordered “Uncle Tony’s” deep dish pizza and the Pesto Balsamic fries and it was delicious. I was worried with a deep dish pizza it would be too much but the ingredients were so fresh everything tastes so fresh and wasn’t too heavy on the stomach at all.
We got pizza door dashed to us, but the deep dish was delicious, cannoli was good and the Caesar salad was interesting. The Caesar dressing was good but bacon bits is an interesting choice. Loved it!
First everything we ate was top notch, delicious, well prepared etc... Unfortunately every part of our order was incorrectly taken, we had to laugh at it. If it wasn't for the owner doing the rounds with the patrons and us being able to share our experiences, with her and her son making it right, this review would have been very different. I am of the belief that things happen but how they are dealt with can outweigh the initial issue. Made our dinner from our out of town visit memorable, by being shown how important customer service is to Nancy's. Can't wait to go back, and I encourage anyone looking for the best pizza in town to visit.
Love the decoration at the place and the environment there but unfortunately we weren’t able to dine in because there was a private party when we there. The pizza pie was so thick. It took me and my bf two days to finish it lol. But it was soon good!Recommended dishesThe Original Stuffed Pizza
Nancy's is my go to for delivery!!! This was my first time in. We got our favorite thin crust pizza with pepperoni and banana peppers. Yum!! The mixed greens salad and balsamic dressing are incredible as well. Great time!Food: 5/5
Visiting Chicago wouldn't be complete without some deep dish pizza. Nancy's was DELICIOUS, and our server was so friendly. Can't recommend highly enough. Vegetarian options: Any vegetarian should be able to leave very happy. Vegans maybe not Kid-friendliness: The table next to us had a dad and two 5ish year-old girls. Hats off to that guy. But the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. Dietary restrictions: Anyone worried about eating gluten free... They have a GF crust, but clearly state on the menu that they cannot guarantee cross contamination. The thin crust GF pizza was delicious though!!!
It was pretty good. I am from Detroit so I’m very biased but I’m not a fan of crust so that’s why I prefer the Detroit style deep dish. But I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the Chicago pizza especially the fresh garlic and chicken I got. But one thing I will say as a former delivery driver is if you can’t get a hold of the person wait because I did the same thing and I left. I tipped on my card but my brother was going to tip the guy in cash and he missed out on another tip. Dietary restrictions: I was able to get chicken. I can’t have pork or beef.
The pizza and apps are great, but the takeout is always so late. No matter how far ahead of time you order you are guaranteed at least a 20 minute wait for your food. It’s as if they don’t start making the order until you arrive.
