I was pleasantly surprised by how great my experience was here! The flavours of the hot pot broth were amazing and quite strong. It came with a ton of vegetables, particularly mine because I ordered the NO MEAT option which seems to be available for any hot pot selection. The meat option, too, doesn't seem to have an absurd amount of meat and relies more on the broth and veggies to create a balanced and delicious meal. The service was fast, and so friendly. Our server was very communicative when it came to allergen information, which is much appreciated. I hope these servers make great wages; because I felt bad that they don't accept tips here!!
Our first time here was a little disappointing. We liked the individual hotpot concept, the complimentary ice cream, and that no tipping is required. However, there was very little meat and tofu compared to the amount of greens and mushrooms for the price. Also, no server checked on us after we were served our food. It got so late that one person in our group had to leave before we got our dessert…we had to ask for the dessert and the bill.
Absolutely brilliant! we drove past this place for 2 years, thinking every day that we should stop by, and now we regret that we did after so long : Very very tasty broths we tried pork and kimchi, fresh vegetables and meats; you cook ur own meal, even the ice creams were excellent Oh, and the service is lovely, and they insist that you do not leave a tip following Japanese true traditions!
The restaurant absolutely wonderful from the way they serve as well as the food in my point. I used to travel to Japan and had a chance to try Sukiyaki then fall in love right away with the soup base. Usually i made it by myself cause i have try some restaurants and the soup not as my thought. This place impressed me and now will be in my must have list Reasonable price for a hotpot included dessert and no tip required following custom in Japan are a plus point.
I was hesitant to go here because it looks so dark inside from outside, but it’s actually bright indoors and quite popular and I’m so glad I finally tried it. The food was so delicious and filling! Great to have individual hot pots so you can cook and eat as you like. They do also have some appetizers and options to add extras too. However I’m just giving 4 stars because of the lesser variety, and the assorted vegetables include one bok choy leaf and 2 slices of carrot. So if you like more of an assortment, you might want to just add some extra veg. I’m am stuffed and happy. Still got the ice cream to come. Also great value.
Authentic Japanese place, they even follow the “no tip” policy as many other reviewers already mentioned. Service was fast probably because I arrived pretty early Menu was somehow limited compared to other personal hot pot places. Combo included rice, seaweed salad which I really like said by a person who hate salad more than anything and of course, your choice of hot pot. There’s also add-on menu but not a large selection. The portion‘s rather small but with the reasonable price, I think it’s alright. Kind of made a mistake orderer the Thai style. Though it’s not bad but not excellent either. Update: I tried their ramen hot pot the second time I was there, the kale broth one. They kept warning how it might taste a bit plain because it's just boil seaweed water but with the dip sauce, it tasted fantastic, will give it another try whenever everything is open again.
Such great food and value for your meal! They're very friendly and traditional. There's no tipping here, just like in Japan. I highly recommend to add an egg to dip with your meat and used the left over with your rice and noodles. We always leave here with a food coma!
Delicious personalized Japanese style hotpot. Multiple styles of soups are available and everything comes as a set meal for between 15-18 dollars, which includes a scope of ice cream for dessert. Induction plates for eat individual is supplied, so settings and flavors are customized for each individual's taste buds, allowing the ingredients to cook to individual preference. Come for a relaxed and open atmosphere, with plenty of food at a very reasonable price
My go to place for Japanese style hotpot. The restaurant is very clean, food is fresh, staff is very polite. Some may find portion is small, but for me it’s perfect portion. By the way, they don’t charge tips!
NO TIPS REQUIRED OR EXPECTED! Perfect season to come here for individualized hotpots. Very sanitary. They have added transparent shower curtains to separate the larger tables. Cook and eat at your own pace. The only con I could think of was the lack of attention from the server because our table was so far away by the window. Id wish the server would check on is more often.
