Story

The Myer Country Motel was established in 1945 by Ralph and Matilda Myer. Ralph remarried in 1952 to Audubon Winfield and they together continued to run the motel well into their 80's until their daughter, Audubon Cox, took over in 1975. She brought her energy and knack for decorating to the motel to give it a country home feel. Many people comment that this is their "home away from home".

In June 1995 the third generation took over to continue the family business. Today you'll find the same warm, country friendliness that has set us apart for over 67 years. We hoped you enjoyed our web site and will visit us soon!

I arrived late in the evening, around 930 but was greeted with a very friendly air. Cabin 19, was connected to another which was empty. While this room may be considered somewhat dated by some, I didn't care. It was exceptionally clean. The towels and bed linens smelled very good, clean and fresh. If one is a smoker, all you need to do is step outside onto the porch, where there are chairs and a table to relax. Was very quiet and peaceful. Will visit again
To Whom that could be concerned, please aware that the cottages having bedbugs. Me and my son spend less of the summer in the area. After spending the night we find out that ,the rooms infested in the bedbugs badly, and bite me and my son 20, 30, times times over one night when we came back to the motel from rafting , I notified the owners that they have a bedbugs and got rejected like i’m saying nonsense they at act like teenagers not willing to deal with the matter No, we don’t have it. It’s impossible. We have a pest control every few weeks denying in anyway, but I told them I have photographs then they told me to leave without trying to solve the matter in a nice way. I asked them for different room unfortunately she did not have any other room. That’s what she claimed. I ask her to make laundry to my clothing. They got contagious! She agree . In the last day of our staying she made drying 10 m, but it didn’t help in the end. The bed bugs mid day way to Brooklyn , To my apartment more than a month I was struggling to take them out ,so people be wise you’ve been worn.
My wife and I like traveling, and both of us like to avoid staying at hotel chains. Sometimes we're less than thrilled, but often we are happily surprised. The Myer Country Motel is one such place. It is one of the prettiest, cleanest, and most delightful places we've ever stayed. Clean and new bathroom; comfortable bed; spotless floors, walls, furniture; spotless windows, clean blinds, recently laundered curtains. We will, without a doubt, return here in the near future.
My wife and I booked the Myer motel for 4 days after reading other people's reviews.We felt like we had gone back in time.Rooms were clean but no modern amenities.We purchase pillows and couple other items to make our stay more comfortable.We left after first nite.Low price that's it
Very, very clean cozy cabins,great beds,nice size cottage, very friendly checkin . Would suggest this place to anyone that would like a quiet private stay.
