Mission:foster understanding and appreciation of the diversity of our biological, geological, and cultural heritage through scientific research, collection

Story

The Redpath Museum, one of Canada's oldest free-standing museums, functions as a unique interdisciplinary unit within the Faculty of Science at McGill University. As a museum, it preserves and displays large collections of ancient and modern organisms, minerals, and world culture (ethnological) artefacts. As an academic unit, it serves as a centre for the teaching and writing of science, as well as a research institution for the study of the natural world.

Founded in 1882, the Redpath Museum's mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of the diversity of our biological, geological, and cultural heritage through scientific research, collections-based study, and education.

I was stunned to have the opportunity to touch dinosaurs' bones! This museum is very informational and magic, especially for school age children! Highly recommended.
It is an amazing Free museum. Lot of history, cultures and generation covered. Admission is absolutely free, although voluntary donations are appreciated and encouraged, and they have dinosaurs. Among other things.
Great museum to see a lot of artifacts in a condensed space. The building itself is is off amazing architecture. You will find large wooden doors with amazing door knobs. Admission is by donation. There are washrooms on site.
From Japan: Perfect place to satisfy biological curious. They have so many exhibits like as animal bones, fossils and minerals, etc. Great for children and students. 10 dollars are suggested as admission fee for adults.
