A lesser known museum about the working class roots of Montreal's centre south neighbourhood... prosperity, poverty and destitution, unemployment, the fight for basic rights and a social safety net. Pretty relevant to the current social and economic issues in the city, actually. I enjoyed my visit.
Quite small but interesting museum about industrial history of the Center South of Montreal.
A fantastic neighborhood/community museum situated in a former public bath. Chronicles the growth of the quartier Centre-Sud since it emerged as a working class living space.
Its a nice visit! We can learn about the community around. Must go!
It's a very nice and small community museum located in the former community bathhouse with a permanent exhibition that tells the story of the neighborhood. The exhibition is in French but English translation is available.
Great for tourists as well as Montreal residents. Low cost with very knowledgeable staff. They do a lot with not much funding. Expositions change regularly which means that you can go multiple times and get a new perspective and information every time
Fantastic museum in a friendly and safe neighbourhood.
Looks like the Musee D'Orsay....if you are looking for a peaceful place with Windows this is it. Learn about industrialization too
Nice museum in an area of Montreal where major change over the last 45 years took its toll. A must see for architecture lovers as the building once was an indoor pool. Always good architectural literature on Montreal past availiable and photos of what this are once looked like. Many expositions that change over time.
