I am not an arts guy and I came to this museum with no expectations, but i really enjoyed the visit.nnI especially enjoyed the hyper realism portion with many real life like poses of a variety of people. I thought it was a great concept. I highly recommend everyone to visit the museum.
Relatively small but well-curated museum. Their permanent collection of Inuit art is very interesting. The $25 admission price seems a bit steep for such a small museum the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Montréal charged about the same and is exponentially bigger with a lot more to see.
Great exhibition currently running on body images. Also enjoyed regular exhibition of Inuit art. Did not realize there was extra building. Visitor orientation somewhat limited.
It is very small, took a little over an hour to get through it, and has lot of modern art. They have an excellent Inuit art collection on the top floor but I wasn't taken with the rest of the exhibitions. I thought it was quite expensive $25 for such a small museum/gallery.
I purchased tickets in advance online, but I still had to wait in the regular line for the ticket office to issue wristbands. There was only a single agent working with a line 30 deep, which made for a very inefficient system.nnOnce inside, the exhibits were great, showcasing a large spectrum of different mediums and subjects. It was thought-provoking and enjoyable for adults and teens
