Lovely Indian restaurant. The staff was polite and helpful without doing too much. The price for quality was definitely great. Really good surprise, especially for the mains Butter chicken was fantastic. Only comment would be around the deserts. I feel like it missed a bit of choices for non crackers kind of dishes. In any cases this is an easy 5/5 in terms of taste, comfort and quality, and an easy recommendation if you are looking for an Indian place. Vegetarian options: Indian cuisine offers a lot of diversity in terms of food tolerance and this buffet is no exception.
One of the best Indian food I had in Ottawa. They have ample sitting area. The servers were very friendly and provided quick service. We ordered Chicken biryani, Paneer tikka masala and butter Naan. All the dishes tasted amazing. We asked them to make the food mild and the spice level was perfect. The Naan was fresh and soft. The paneer and chicken biryani were perfectly cooked. Our food arrived within 15 mins after ordering. I would definitely recommend this place if someone is looking for indian food in downtown Ottawa. Place is 10 min walk from Parliament. Free Street parking is available nearby.
I liked the food, and although I didn’t have much experience in Indian food, the 25-dollar self-service was worth it. The atmosphere was pleasant and authentic. However, I expected better service and friendly workers.Food: 4/5
We were told about this restaurant from friends that are originally from India who loved it. We found it super clean as soon as we entered and the waiting staff were very polite. The food was amazing and very well displayed. I loved that the food area was very clean and easy to navigate. I will be visiting again for sure and bringing my family. Tons of selection, and if you are vegetarian that isn't a problem.
We ordered North Indian food. To be specific we had Dal Makhani, kadhai paneer, roti, mango lassi. The food was really good. They made it spicy as per our requirements. I was a little disappointed with the mango lassi though. It was not that great. Also they should probably work a bit on their washrooms too. Otherwise it was okay.
The chicken pakoras were good, nevertheless I have to say that the portions for the rest of the food were not as big as other similar places. Additionally, the butter chicken sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce, sweet with no butter flavour, the rice that comes with the package is very simple, not biryani. I would really hesitate to come back
Best indian food in downtown of Ottawa. The food was very delicious and the staff was also friendly. Highly recommend it for spice lovers.
This place is a hidden gem of the city. We visited Ottawa for Tulip festival during the Victoria day long weekend and not many restaurants were open. We were looking for places to eat around the Parliament Hill area and ended up finding this restaurant and decided to go for dinner. When we arrived the restaurant, it was very busy. A tiny entrance and not a very impressive place at first sight. We were told that it could take as long as one hour in waiting as both restaurant and staff were busy. As we were not having many choices after a tiring day, we decided to wait. We were taken in within 20 minutes and we ordered our food right away. We ordered tandoori naan/roti, paneer tikka masala, Manchurian, veg biryani and daal tadka. The food was outstanding and so was the staff. We never had such a great experience in Ottawa with Indian food. This is a highly recommended restaurant and a must visit.
My friend suggested it, the food was delicious and service was good. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He suggested dahi kabab, which was undoubtedly awesome. We ordered veg manchurian, harabhara kabab and veg sizzler for starters, Kadhai paneer for the main course and mungdaal halwa, rasamalai for dessert. Overall food quality and taste was amazing and also the service by staff. This is gonna be my favorite restaurant now.
The ambience is good. The food is yummy. The quantity of food is more than expected. Staff was nice. The full Indian vibe was great. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options available
