the kids area is nice, especially for my sister. I like the bean bags and magnetic blocks. employees are often helpful and responsive.

Loudest library I have ever been in. Is it not a requirement to keep your voice down in a library any more? There is a small.closet-sized room marked "Quiet Room" you can go into and close the door, but I've always thought the library was supposed to be one big quiet room... Also, very hard to get a computer here. Homeless people get here early and snap them, sitting all day and browsing R-rated sites or reading the funnies or something. Also, seating in general is first-come, first- served, and the homeless that aren't quick enough to get a computer commandeer the tables and chairs with all their belongings, often taking up a whole table that should serve three or four patrons. I even observed one man lying in the floor in a corner, on top of a pile of backpacks and bedrolls, blocking access to a whole shelving area. This seems to coincide with hot or cold weather and/or rain as to how many are allowed to camp inside. If you're a bike rider, you'll need to park up the block or across the street and walk. The bicycle rack nearest the door has been permanently taken over by a homeless man who has several bicycles and a convoy of bike trailers hitched together and piled high with old tires, sports equipment, camping equipment, the the usual bags full of empty cans and bottles. His "wagon train" stays permanently in front of the library, although he unhitches one of his many bicycles and rides around all day, returning to sleep at the library or beside the bank across the street at night. It would be a nice library if it were allowed to serve the patrons who come to use it as a library rather than a day shelter.
