Very friendly staff, and there's a key drop box if you want to check out before the office opens. Close to Two Medicine park entry and a scenic drive to St. Mary's entry. Reasonably priced. Vintage motel but clean and well maintained. Has been partially remodeled to replace older infrastructure like the shower and faucets. Everything worked great. No AC but didn't need it it was 45 degrees outside at night in August, the windows open and have screens and there were two fans in the room. TV, coffee maker, microwave, and fridge in the room. Just remember to pick up something on the way to nuke for breakfast if you plan to get an early start. Bring your own shampoo, as none was provided there was soap though. I didn't use the heat, didn't need it. There were baseboard heaters, so be cautious if you do use the heat keep all bedding and other items away from the heaters. Management might consider putting a note next to the thermostat, as some people might not know to keep items away from heaters.
All thoughts are honest and opinions are my own.* My family and I are SO glad we stayed here. The owner is indescribably kind; was easy to book with him over the phone, then we drive up and I checked in. He was helpful and curious with our next adventure and wrote out directions for us for our drive on a map he provided us. He clearly knows the areas well and is very familiar with the freeways of MT and Canadian areas. He also described to me his family history and that the motel was first started 75 years ago! It is obvious his family and him have cared for it very well. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable and we love the mountain feel of course. The area and motel was quiet, safe and relaxing during our stay. The coffee in the room, clean and comfortable amenities and little touches like a beer opener in the room really made our stay extra special. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back. Keep in mind the pictures I took are the morning after we woke up, so the beds did not look like this upon check in, they were slept in comfortably! But I wanted you to see the cuteness of the room and what to expect during your stay.nnMountain Pine is also incredible close to Glacier National Park. I love that it’s located in East Glacier so our drive took the park was short and easy after the owner gave us a great route to take.nnThank you Mountain Pine Motel for the great hotel!
We thoroughly enjoyed our night at this motel. The owner is very friendly, inviting, and willing to provide information about the area. The rooms are fairly basic, but we were impressed with the condition of the rooms. You can tell that they spend a lot of time keeping the rooms in top condition. This location is very convenient for the Two Medicine section of Glacier National Park.
This is a 2-star hotel with 5-star service. Ryan, the owner, was fabulous and super friendly. We stayed there for 1 night before camping at the Glacier NP, and we liked it so much that we chose to stay for 1 more night after we finished camping. Ryan gave us great suggestions on where to hike at the GNP and shared remarkable stories about his wildlife encounters with us. He even offered us unused bear spray from past tourists for free. I will 100% go back and stay there just to talk to Ryan again.
My husband and I used this spot as a base camp for in Glacier adventures in between camping and backcountry reservations. This is the best spot to stay in East Glacier and usually booked. The CDT trail goes right past it with laundry right across the street for 2 dollars a load. Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly. Our backcountry reservations were changed and Ryan helped us find an alternative place to stay and where not to stay because he was booked. Would absolutely stay here again. You will be in a small town and able to buy some essentials by walking and .5 miles the big lodge and use their restaurant if desired. Appreciate the great stays we had! Rooms are clean and cute! They have a microwave and coffee and the WiFi was stable and enough to be able to get maps and info from internet.
