Dancing Bears Inn

This was absolutely one of the WORST places I've ever stayed at -- and I travel a lot. We reserved Cabin 24, which looks charming and rustic from the pictures on their web site -- don't be fooled. It was filthy and falling apart. The back door was nailed shut and the smoke alarm had been removed. They neglected to activate the wireless and cable after the winter hiatus, and couldn't seem to figure out how to get that fixed. The "fully stocked kitchen" was a joke. When I requested the promised housekeeping service, they dumped a pile of towels and soap on our unmade beds and left. And to add insult to injury, they charged Marriott prices.

We had booked cabin 24 in April 2017 for 4 days in August. Had stayed at the Dancing Bears Inn previously and found it to be minimally acceptable. When we checked in and got to cabin 24 we were shocked at it's condition. Musty odor in carpets, dog hair? on bedspreads, no cable tv, no internet. Cabin 24 is supposed to be self catering there were very few dishes or utensils in the Kitchen. After we complained we were rebooked into a room at the main inn. Even the high school student manning the desk agreed that cabin 24 was not suitable for use. Had difficulty chasing down Noel the manager to get a reduction in our rate. Not many places to stay in East Glacier but absolutely AVOID the Dancing Bears Inn!

The place looks run down. the staff was okay I guess. Also the internet there was okay at best

I wish I could give 0 stars. DO NOT BOOK HERE. The room was way too small and had no place to sit. It was old and dirty with hair on the sheets along with holes. It didn't have enough towels, the washroom door didn't close and the parking space is smaller than any car I know. The most expensive in our trip. DANCE YOURSELF AWAY FROM HERE!

Very expensive for a poorly run and maintained facility. Weak wi-fi, light switches broken, crummy breakfast and no shampoo or conditioner.
