Mother Natures is a family owned and operated business that has been serving the Kootenay community for over 40 years. Located in downtown Castlegar, we are a full service health food store providing our customers with a vast selection of high quality products at fair value.

Mother Natures specializes in gluten free foods. We carry a complete selection of gluten free products including:

This store is truly incredible! Knowledgeable staff and a long history of being a mainstay in Castlegar.
I never leave reviews but I am new to the kootenays and was so excited to find this place , however I went home with a product that was recommended to me for acute sinus issues that both I and my son were recommended to use , however I notice a couple months later after using it a handful of times that it was over a year past expired. I kept forgetting to bring the product back cause I couldn’t find my receipt and kept forgetting to bring it when I came into town and when I told them today what had happened, they could have nicely said sorry there is nothing we could do without a receipt, I was instead given attitude and they made me feel like I was lying. The girl then told me the product wasn’t even recommended for children under 12 and passed it back to me, and I told her I wasn’t the one that recommended it, someone at the store did. She just gave me a look like I was trying to pull a fast one over here. I’ve worked in customer service and have retail experience of 15 years, that was a little rude . I explained my story and circumstances and only got attitude. I unfortunately won’t be back and would rather give my business to Amazon based on that experience.
This is my go to spot for supplements, vitamins, snacks, skin care, gifts you name it. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and if there is something I am looking for out of stock they’ll often get it in for me. I’m pretty picky when it comes to ingredients and where items are sourced and the selection here is great!
