Moose Creek Campground

I used to frequent this camp site and have always enjoyed it. I've tried to go up both this year and last year and was forced to look for a different camp ground because of the construction workers who are allowed to use up almost all of the available spots. The one or two remaining spots go quickly, and I see that besides the construction workers there appears to be a few illegal squatters. Obviously the forest circus doesn't care if people stay and don't pay. Makes me wonder why I still pay?? Until the never ending road work is done I'd look for a different camp ground. The star rating is for the management, not the campground itself.

As of this writing the campground was overgrown and not maintained. The dirt road leading to the campground and beyond is subject to heavy construction (logging?) traffic and as a result is heavily potholed and extra muddy. There were a few sites that were clearly being occupied on a more long term basis by sketchy-looking RV's covered in tarps and such. The use fee was not being collected as the fee deposit post was covered and taped shut with a garbage bag. Surprisingly, the pit toilet restrooms were very clean. We stayed one night just to sleep. In its current state, I couldn't recommend it for anything else.

Lots of construction and close to the road. No trees.
